    Pros

They are amazing! We put over 1000 people into jobs last year and hoping to fill hundreds more this year! I always felt a part of the team. I had great set hours. I learned everything quickly and for sure was given enough responsibility to keep me busy. I loved working for Goodwill of Northern Arizona.

    Cons

Sometimes it can be stressful working at a non profit because people don't fully understand how proceeds benefit the public but you can turn this con around by being educated about the company and kindly educating people on what we do here at Goodwill

    Advice to Management

Keep working hard and Keep doing what you do. You are amazing and I appreciate you.

    Pros

The environment is great. It is a macro management organization. The organization is financially secure. The Senior Leadership Team empower the staff and push impact instead of numbers. The organization is financially diverse. The programs it provides are actually making a difference. It seems like one big family rather than a gossip arena.

    Cons

They do not provide retirement. Because it is a non-profit the pay is below the for profit world and the resources available to the staff to service the clients can be limited. As government grants and funding dissipate, programs can be eliminated and staff laid off. The board is a non contributing board which hampers the ability to receive funds from foundations and other resources.

    Advice to Management

Make sure staff are hired that are aligned and on board with the organization's philosophy and mission, especially candidates being hired to fill Senior Leadership Roles. Ensure that employee's that are doing great work are recognized and that their careers are promoted.

    Pros

Staff are great to work with and made some real friends- most of the people who work there are genuinely committed to the goals of the company

    Cons

there are some issues with regard to planning and implementation of that plan. It appears that upper management does have a complete plan for the organization, but, it does not get transmitted very well to line staff.

    Advice to Management

better communication of goals and objectives to the line staff would be very helpful. A better process for sharing the company plan would be a good idea
