Good management that lets you do your job and is there when you need them. Company car, cell phone, travel, conferences.

    Cons

New associates only get two weeks of vacation time to start and have to stay for over 4 years to get another week. The also require you to use 3 of those 10 days around Christmas/new years

    Pros

Excellent work environment both in terms of the facilities at the Akron HQ and the professionalism of my colleagues.
About 60% of my peers in the marketing field have external CPG experience, the other 40% have been hired from within, this provides for a good combination of experiences
Good and frequent two way communications with managers up to two levels above me, less frequent but still meaningful communications from higher level VPs.
    Interesting projects and initiatives.
Initial on-boarding training is excellent, usually you get a colleague assigned to guide you through the details of your position.

    Cons

Low diversity at the VP and Director level, and to a certain degree in mid-management.
After initial onboarding ends, most training is online with limited opportunities for in-person training.

    Advice to Management

you push your manager's To sell more more more which leads to unnecessary car repairs.

    Pros

Nothing at all come to mind.

    Cons

I work for a branch of Good Year that does contract work for Transit Vehicles. Been going on a couple of months and can not stand it. They expect you to hustle your whole shift in order to finish early or sometimes close to finish. The night shift position requires two people but one is available most of the time because the employee turn over rate is high and they are greedy to pay one more person. They didn't have anyone officially train me but when the time came for the raise after one month. Supervisor claims I have more to learn and that he will show me but never does. They have OLD tools and still have you work the tires and vehicles the old fashion way in order to save save save. Terribly Run Operations.

    Advice to Management

Treat even the lower level employees like humans. More people would work this job with better pay, better tools, better support from supervisors. Or continue to target the every day Crystal Meth User that seems to be the perfect fit for this job.

    Pros

Great company to work for. Talented, experienced individuals. Lots of opportunity for growth within the corporate offices. Very competitive pay. Management does make an effort to encourage progression and development.

    Cons

Not much room for growth in the field outside of corporate offices located in Akron. Field staff do not share all of the benefits of those working in Akron Corporate Headquarters.

    Advice to Management

Working in a division that has not fired or let people go, rather allowed attrition in positions to decrease expenses has put a lot of extra work on small number of individuals. Please look into the benefits of hiring on additional staff where requested, and avoiding hiring freezes as much as possible, in order to improve the work/life balance of employees.

    Pros

Multiple responsibilities allow for a greater range of open doors for you to stick your foot in through so to speak.

    Cons

Low-pay, not much business. There was plenty of time for sitting around and watching movies or playing on the Internet.

    Advice to Management

Work on advancement of the employees, practice better marketing to attract and help get more business in the door for technicians.
