    Perfect experience

Quantitative Analyst Intern (Current Employee) Mountain View, CA

Pros1. There are rich resources for internal training.
    2. Flexible time and nice work/life balance.
    3. Generous payment and relocation stipend.
    4. Gorgeous people to work and interact at work.
    5. Google holds internal weekly meetings to share the most recent progress in various teams.

ConsAs the company is too big, it takes more time to learn about the different opportunities on a higher level. Typical projects have narrow focuses and it is hard to learn what everybody else is doing in the team.

    BOLD Intern

BOLD Intern (Current Employee) Mountain View, CA

ProsGreat benefits, incredible culture, hard-working peers, and great opportunities to grow professionally. The environment promotes teamwork and support rather than competition and sabotage which is great.

ConsGoogle is not immune to office politics. Many people are invested in their own responsibilities and projects that it becomes difficult to ensure that you are receiving the necessary and training for your own job. Also, mobility is more common horizontally rather than vertically.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Great company in every way.

Legal Intern (Current Employee) Mountain View, CA

ProsThis company is exceptional because it realizes the true value of human capital. Employees are treated well, encouraged to grow in their profession and experience work on projects outside of their normal expertise.

Working at Google is also an exceptional resume item, and regarded very highly by other employees (if you ever decide to leave)

ConsI cannot think of any whatsoever. This company is superlative in every way. If I absolutely had to come up with a con, I would say that the worst part of working at Google is the innate guilt I experience when others talk about their jobs and then ask about mine. It is hard to have to explain to others how amazing a workplace Google provides, and to witness the incredulous looks others give.

(To explain why I am no longer working at Google - I simply left for another opportunity in a different area that Google does have, but I would love to one day return.)

Advice to Senior ManagementContinue to maintain the learning, growing, employee-first culture that makes Google such an amazing professional environment.

ProsAmazing place to work! It has great benefits even for interns, and it's easy to make big impacts.

ConsThere aren't that many downsides. Google is just kind of big, but they are really good for a big company.

    Awesome but huge company

BOLD Intern (Current Employee) Ann Arbor, MI

ProsObvious pros, free food, massages, large network, TGIF

ConsLarge company so easy to get lost, or, as an entry level employee, work on something that someone else is already working on.

    Efficient.

Design Intern (Current Employee) Seattle, WA

ProsAs everyone knows, Google has great perks. No surprises. This internship looks good on my resume and hopefully will lead to more opportunities.

ConsI work long hours as an intern, but I wouldn't necessarily consider this a con since I am learning and it is great experience.
