I worked at Google as an intern

    Pros

Incredibly smart people, given lots of responsibility for only being an intern, awesome work environment and the office was fun to be in.

    Cons

Had to move across the country, which really wasn't that big of a deal because Google paid for it, but wasn't an ideal move at the time either.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep letting smart people do what they are doing. Clearly the company is doing something right.

    Pros

Obvious pros, free food, massages, large network, TGIF

Large company so easy to get lost, or, as an entry level employee, work on something that someone else is already working on.

I have been working at Google as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

As everyone knows, Google has great perks. No surprises. This internship looks good on my resume and hopefully will lead to more opportunities.

    Cons

I work long hours as an intern, but I wouldn't necessarily consider this a con since I am learning and it is great experience.

I worked at Google as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

Good salary. They paid for the accommodation during the whole internship. I learned a lot from the engineers and made a lot of networking.

    Cons

If you end up starting your internship close in time the Google IO or the performance reviews you'll be by yourself for a couple of weeks. Everything moves around Mountain View you pretty much have to work at the time zone even if you are in Europe of Asia.

    Pros

Food, Life, everything was amazing as far as that goes. You get to work with geniuses.

    Cons

low movement possible, most of my friends who are still there are are still in low level positions after many years.

I worked at Google as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

    - Smart employees
    - Great learning experience
    - Cool perks (free tasty food, gym, bikes, etc.)
    - Interesting problems to solve

    Cons

There were not many cons to my internship experience at Google. However, I could see how Google is not the best place to be for certain types. For example, even though Google tries to keep up the fast-paced, creative environment, it has become somewhat bureaucratic.

    Awesome internship

Former Employee - Software Engineering Intern  in  Mountain View, CA
Former Employee - Software Engineering Intern in Mountain View, CA

I worked at Google as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

You'll work with very talented and motivated people, lots of perks, state-of-the-art infrastructure. Having the opportunity to take a look at all the wonderful stuff they've developed and taking part in the creation of new tools and products is an amazing experience, especially if you're still in college.

    Cons

I couldn't say. The internship can be quite demanding, but it really depends on your projects, your skills and how many weeks you're staying. I wouldn't say it's a bad thing either, but I'd be prepared to be quite busy for the duration of the internship.
