    Pros

I had a wonderful time at Google as an APM intern. The experience definitely shaped how I look at myself, and how I want to approach the rest of my career.

    Cons

It's HUGE! It's sometimes hard to get things done because of how many different people you need to talk to, and how many different knobs and levers you have to get turned.

    Pros

Compensation is great. Intern projects are well-scoped, impactful, and challenging. Flexibility is fantastic and there's a huge focus on enjoying your time/getting to know the Google culture

    Cons

Hard to call this a "con" since it was a huge learning opportunity, but google is very ambiguous. There is little direction (tons of support when you ask though) and it's difficult at time to know what your next steps are.

    Pros

    - Great perks
    - Excellent food
    - Working on projects that touch millions of people
    - Working for Google the past summer has helped me alot this time around to get other internships.

    Cons

I would often stay late and get caught up in my work. It was a personal choice though.

    Pros

Cool projects, great support for your hosts and mentors, fun work environment. Best internship to date!

    Cons

Could be hard to get to know fellow interns who you are not working with. Finding housing before the start can be stressful

    Advice to Management

More support leading up to the internship

    Pros

Besides the delicious food, and awesome perks, one of the greatest part of interning at Google is that you really feel like you are a Googler. Google treats interns as full timers, both in terms of responsibilities and privileges. Interns can attend all company events and can become involved with nearly anything that a full time employee could.

    Cons

I wouldn't say there are any real cons, although you will be expected to be able to balance your work with everything else. This can be tricky with all the intern events and things going on all the time.

I worked at Google as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Google on the inside is pretty much exactly what it looks like from the outside, no surprises, fun internship, lots of opportunity to continue with them once your internship is up.

    Cons

I enjoyed my summer there, although I would recommend if you have a choice work at one of the larger offices, I worked at a smaller office and didn't feel like I got the whole Google experience.

    Advice to Management

As an intern I didn't really deal with management.

    Pros

Generous housing stipend. Salary is not super high but there are free food and free shuttle to make it up. Very supportive & friendly managers, host, mentors and co-workers. Lots of training classes for personal development. Lots of resources. Almost everything/everyone is accessible.

    Cons

No personal rooms even for managers. Open workspace is quite distracting. The first few weeks are very intimidating and over-whelming.

    Pros

I really appreciate the nice food of Google's cafe. I also love the harmonious environment in Google, such as various activities like sports meeting, Take your child at work, etc. I meet so many friendly colleagues. Besides, I enjoy Google's flexible hours.

    Cons

Salaries for summer interns in China are not high, especially for undergraduate students, compared to interns in U.S.

    Advice to Management

Hope there will be more cool teams in China.

    Pros

The company is extremely transparent internally, supports lifelong learning (if there is something you want to learn it is likely there is a class available on the topic), and you work with some of the smartest people around. The work environment is great, as is the food, fitness centers, and other added benefits.

    Cons

If you end up on a project you aren't all that interested in or a team you don't quite mesh with, you may not enjoy your work as much as you could if you were placed on another team/project, though it seems fairly painless to switch teams if you aren't enjoying what you do anymore.
