    I worked at Grand & Toy full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Co-workers. That was the only pro of working for the company, the people I met.

    Cons

    Leadership (or rather lack thereof), no room for growth, anyone under management treated like subhumans, directions given out with little to no explanation of how to execute. I could go on and on, but basically the whole company is a cesspool now.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Don't lie to the public, treat your employees equally, pay them a decent wage and for god's sake LISTEN to your employees.

    They offer higher roles to people who aren't as qualified but just to get experience.

    Cons

    no direction, no bonus, no salary raises, very political and lots of snake biting.

    Make a plan to stick to it.

    I have been working at Grand & Toy

    Pros

    They have a lot of good people and a strong infrastructure. Organization has a lot of unrealized potential and could regain a lot of their market position witht the right management.

    Cons

    Extremely political environment. Layoffs have gutted the "working staff" but have left management completely intact. There is literally no one left to do the work and those who remain are at the end of the rope. The prevailing sense is that management feels everyone is replacable and if you are not happy with the conditions they would be more than happy to find someone better to replace you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Managers are great but they don't do the work of the business. If you work your staff to death they will continue to leave along with your only hope of regaining the companies strength.
