I have been working at Great-West Life Assurance full-time for more than a year
Pros – excellent colleagues and great managers
there is a challenging and rewarding workload
great rewards programs
Cons – Not enough communication between the departments which results in confusion and misunderstanding with the team members. If there was more knowledge of the other departments processes it would help remove this

I have been working at Great-West Life Assurance full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Reasonable compensation, stable work environment, friendly people and upper management. Overall it is a well known and stable company. A good work-life balance can easily be maintained.
Cons – It would be better if there was a little more approval authority lower in the company. The business process can at times be a little slow and sometimes it feels as though the company is a little behind the times. Not even offered a Blackberry.
Advice to Senior Management – Try to download some authority and involve more people in the decision making process. Offer employees a path to succeed in the company. Show them how they can continue to advance and further their career. Modernize your computer systems and communications network (Why are we still using Office 2007?, Why no Blackberries?, Why no ability to work from home?) These should be standard in this day and age)

I have been working at Great-West Life Assurance full-time for less than a year
Pros – Very solid insurance company. Good management, good performance evaluations. Lots of opportunities for advancement.
Cons – I'm still new and maybe wide-eyed, so I nothing really comes to mind right now. Maybe in a couple of years I will have some negative remarks to make.
Advice to Senior Management – Nothing.

I have been working at Great-West Life Assurance
Pros – This company is dedicated to training, education and promotion from within. They provide a wide variety of resources to help you get your job done.
Cons – If you don't like the idea of insurance in general, this may be a tough place for you to work. Also, there is a heavy workload which if you like to ponder things before making decisions may be a challenge.
Advice to Senior Management – Trust your staff.
