Overall decent place to work

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Green Tree Servicing

ProsGrowing, team oriented, good benefits, ethical, good employee morale.

ConsOld school and outdated processes and management practices. Stuck in the old way of doing things and resistant to change. Most people are not given laptops so have no ability to work from home EVER. Some poor long term managers who need to be managed out of the organization.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet into the 21st century and be more innovative!

If you want/need to be trained or your sup to assist ...don't expect it here

Collector/Loss Mit (Current Employee)
Tempe, AZ

I have been working at Green Tree Servicing full-time for more than a year

ProsThe people you will meet are awesome, networking.. Lots of overtime available/mandatory

ConsTraining lacks and trainers gossip alot and is veru minimal. Training you get from your sup ...not there, they expect you to come out of class where you learned just the basics and hit the floor. The people who come out have no mortgage experience and get right on phones working with customers. In the time Ihave been here I have had NO one on one with any sup...

Advice to Senior ManagementGet new sups, or make them do thier jobs. A sup is to guide and train and develope an agent. Not ignore them or give an answer of it is what it is..now do it

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

Good benefits and security, but not much potential, and lack of talented management.

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at Green Tree Servicing full-time for more than 3 years

ProsGreen Tree provides a competitive salary and great benefits with satisfactory time off and lenient sick leave policy. Strength of the company ensures stability and, if performance is satisfactory and consistent, good job security.

ConsCompany growth does not translate into additional potential for personal growth, and opportunities to elevate as to both position and income are scarce. Lateral moves between departments are not uncommon, but upward movement is rare. Overall lack of talented management. Existing management seems to have survived from prior incarnation as primarily a mobile home servicer, and lacks the skill and agility to adapt to new lines of business and to cultivating positive employee relations.

Advice to Senior ManagementUpper/middle management could benefit from coaching as to leadership skills. The highest levels of executive management would be well served to examine management of divisions and departments with more scrutiny.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
