    I worked at Grill Concepts part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    It was flexible. Easy to switch shifts with other staff if necessary.

    Cons

    There seemed to have been a disconnect between staff and higher management. The desire for higher sales quotas increasingly was a problem for such a customer oriented business. There was less and less regard and care for staff.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Relax. Working at Daily Grill could be enjoyable. It once was. Desperation adds pressure to everyone on staff.

    Pros

    some of the staff are amazing. ALl male bartenders make you feel like they care about their job and some of the servers are very experienced.

    Cons

    Clientele for the most part are rude and forget getting a good tip from foreigners. They lie about the benefits and the hours they have to reduce.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Treat your employees with respect and stop lying about the hours you are reducing. Add the gratuity. save your staff. I would still work their if you got your act together.

    Pros

    Because of how horribly it's run, you get away with anything, making it easy and fun to work there.

    Cons

    Stress is put on employees, harassment - sexual and otherwise is out of control, not financially rewarding

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Find professional managers who know what they are doing. You need some secret service servers/hosts etc. to find out how they REALLY act when the big corporate men aren't around.

    The food is good, so customers tip ok and leave full and happy.

    Cons

    bad managers, very corporate no "family" vibe

    Pros

    Flexible schedule, not open on Sundays or Saturday before 5pm, lunch shifts are 3-4 hours.

    Cons

    Worst clientele- customers are rude and overly picky about everything, but can get away with anything. Management will always throw you under the bus when it comes to the customer and never show support no matter the situation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Show more respect and support towards your employees.
