    Pros

My team that I worked with were awesome!! I loved my store managers.

    Cons

No breaks. Your on two part coverage most of the time and can not leave the store. They do not give managers promotions based on the work experiences they are only care about how you look, not if you could get the job done.

    Advice to Management

Stop treating stores differently we all have a common goal. Be innovative with brand recognition, the product is the same every season and year it has been so predictable.

    Pros

My co workers. They were great. The owner of the company is a racist snob. Most of the upper management and HR are total bafoons.

    Cons

Upper Management was racist. When they came for visits they would walk by and ignore the employees that were not their "skin type" and hug and talk to the employees that were like them.

    Advice to Management

Look around the only people that buy your clothes are ethnic people. Not the ones you promote on your campaigns.

    Pros

Cafe - the breakfast burritos are awesome, so is the froyo.
I would say the discount but I hate the clothes
They have a gym on site - it's kind of janky, but they also have yoga and spin. The spin class is pretty nice. Yoga is during lunch and it's kind of stressful because you have to be showered and everything within the hour.
Some of my managers were really cool, others not so much

    Cons

You're being watched all the time; they have cameras everywhere and I was told that I should walk fast because the owner watches them and wants to know you're busy...
You have 3 breaks a day - do NOT exceed those breaks at any time because if you do you are put on a "list"
Very stressful, no feeling of job security and a lot of the people also seemed like they didn't enjoy working there. You could be fired at any time.
I felt guilty taking a lunch or breaks
It's VERY corporate, so if you're into that then it would be great for you

    Pros

    Great benefits. That's it.

    Cons

Extremely stressful environment. You are considered as a number in this corporate environment. Walking through the hallways is stressful cause you never know when you might "run in" to the CEO. There is always the possibility he will fire you. I am a prompt person, but if you are not at your desk by 8:00 you could be fired. Too many people disagreeing with each other. Very little teamwork or direction. Upper management only cares about themselves. They do not listen to voiced concerns or care what you think about. I don't mind a challenge but my workload vs hours in the day were not balanced. Everyone points fingers and no one will accept responsibility. There is no training. You either sink or swim. Some (not all) of upper management do nothing to help you grow. In their defense, they have to worry about themselves too since the CEO runs this company by fear. You get stuck in this rut of the same daily routine and you lose sight of bigger and better things. This is the worst place where I have ever worked. There are bonuses but no structure on how to earn one. It's political. There is little to no recognition for excelling at your position. You can NEVER do enough to make anyone happy. As soon as you do, then you get reprimanded for taking a 16 min break and not a 15 min break. The quality of the garments are horrible. This is because the outrageous markup on the financial aspect outweighs the quality offered to the customer. Do not work here. The Guess name on your resume is not worth the stress you have to endure. This place literally sucks the life out of you. It changed me from a very positive person to a cranky, unhappy and miserable person. Seriously, don't work here. You get reprimanded if you don't eat in the cafe. If you bring your lunch, you are not allowed to eat it in the cafe. You are also not allowed to eat it at your desk. If there is a meeting from 12-2 then you don't get a lunch that day. If you are caught eating at your desk AND after 2 forget about it. Lunches in the cafe are expensive no matter how much you make. It will be fun and exciting for about 2 months and that's it. I assure you.

    Advice to Management

    Quit.

Co-workers are friendly, and work well together. Benefits are good and on-site gym.

    Cons

Operates like a prison, constantly being monitored and senior management manages by fear. Threats to close café because no everyone uses it.

    Advice to Management

ease up! worry about the bigger business issues.

    Cons

To many chiefs not enough indians. Stressful job. Too many opinions, and never on the same page. Higher ups do not want to step out of the box. Higher ups do not pay attention to who the customer is. Higher ups do not pay attention to details or think things threw. Higher ups dividing out work never are on schedule. Things are done last minute all the time. Things get out late and make it stressful. Higher ups waste a ton of money. Will never receive raise. All non higher ups are miserable and hate their job. Higher ups steel ideas and take to meetings that lower rank employees are "not allowed" to go to and change everything, and make things difficult to produce. If you want a job that you just are a production artist all day everyday then this would be a good job for you. If you are looking to just sit in the same position for years and years this is a good job for you. I would not recommend working for Guess. Ever. The company has issues. Cheap product. High prices. Company is losing major money and is closing brands because it can't handle them. CEO will come and yell at your department even though it is the incorrect department to be talking to about something. He sent a voice mail to everyone about if employees don't eat at the cafe he will close it. Threatening everyone for not eating at his cafe. CEO is just unprofessional. Everyone is intimidated and on edge at this company. It is not a friendly environment to work in. Takes forever for something to happen in the company.
