    I worked at H&M part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Nice pay (higher than most retail stores starting off)
They have nice clothes at reasonable prices.
Always have sale items at our stores.
Has a section for women, men, kids, and maternity. All fashionable clothing
Great perks when they collar with designers. Recently got an Alexander Wang string bag for free.
    Great Holiday gifts.

    Cons

Just like any retail. You get unusual rude customers. Hours - gotta work holidays and stuff but that's not because of H&M. Although it kind of sucked working on New Year's Eve because we didn't close the store until 10pm. I wish we were able to close earlier at like 6pm.

I have been working at H&M part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Smaller store with high traffic. Very family oriented store culture. The store is very shopable and advisors are fast and effective. Management has been pretty decent and has had open communication. Very face paced and a good way to experience all aspects of retail.

    Cons

Management changes often, customers are very rude, the store is old and needs a rebuild. Negative feedback from higher management, without cooperation from higher management to correct things.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please listen more to store management when it comes to problems with the store. We shouldn't have the floorboards coming up off the ground and have to duct tape them down.
