I worked at H&M part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    25% Off Clothes
Made a load of new friends

    Cons

    Unrealistic goals
    Understaffed
Bitter management, rude, uncaring about personal issues
Social life is cut off due to horrible hours

Management is dishonest, and they will create a cause to fire you and keep seasonal and new staff. I worked there for over a year no issues and came in one day 3 hours early only to be pulled aside, put in a room and verbally shouted at by 2 loss prevention employees accusing me of saving 4 old receipts (which they claim they found buried in a trash can, why they would be digging in a trash can I don;t know), stealing a managers code to open the register which is very much impossible and than stealing from the registers. How much money? 50 dollars? 100? 1000? No 14 dollars. I would never in my life take from that company. The LP guy claimed the store was filled with cameras and would I like to admit anything? The store had 0 cameras a when I said I'd love to see the footage of me trying to smuggle 14 dollars away I was refused and fired immediately. My advice would to avoid this store. That isn't a proper way to treat an employee. Besides that they are not flexible with school, so no sympathy when you are sick and when asked why I'm forced to stay till 2am and open the next day at 6am, their response is "too bad"

I have been working at H&M full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great hard work experience & good benefits,

    Cons

Worked like a slave, management is an utter catastrophic fail, biased, unfair treatment to certain employees, horrible scheduling, bad attitudes, unclear directions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Most of you should be fired or not managing anyone in Atlanta, the whole management team needs to be rehired & more diverse. There is too many women bringing their personal problems to work & no men to help balance in management. You shouldn't talk to employees like children when everyone is an adult. There should be more employees on staff to help run the store instead of a ton of managers & barely any employees.

I have been working at H&M full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Umm.... The discount. but not worth your sanity!

    Cons

Basically nothing that hasn't been said before. The upper management is awful. The pay is mediocre, and they expect way too much from their employees, i mean things that are not humanly possible to accomplish and then nitpick every little thing that is wrong. But NEVER say anything if your doing a good job. It is the most negative toxic environment I have ever worked for

1.Rapidly expanding company hires less than qualified people.
2.The true sorce of promotions comes from people promoting ppl they like (even the district team)
3.They DO NOT CARE about their employees, and if they don't like you they try to get rid of you
    4.Extremely unproffessional environment.
I wouldnt wish this job on my worst enemy on his worst day.

I have read other peoples posts that go more indepth, just know that they are all true!

    I worked at H&M

    Pros

Good vacation benefits, birthday day off, pay ok that's all

    Cons

Worst place I have ever worked. Senior management us slow to take advise on how to improve. Treats its store level employees poorly. Expects your life to revolve around work. Hypocritical values that do not apply to senior, regional and district management. If you are outside of the core team (visual, sales, finance) you get treated like a 2nd class member of the team. Poor investment in technology unless related to marketing. If you are working at H&M and think its good and have never worked elsewhere - Managements brainwashing has worked. Work elsewhere and realize how bad H&M is...

    I worked at H&M

    Pros

The pay. That's it. But there's a catch.

    Cons

This store is known for its great pay, compared to other stores. But the high turnover rate of the workers should raise a red flag, meaning that people would want to leave the store, regardless of the good pay. What it comes down to is poor management, if you can call "bullying" and "threatening" management.

I have been working at H&M

    Pros

    the discount 25%
    gift cards
you will gain lots of experience

    Cons

I wish i had read some of the reviews before i signed up for this place. This is by far the worst job I have ever had in my life. and I love what I do but this is the worst run store I have ever come across. everything everyone is saying is true. They hire incompetent management with no people skills. They write you up and document every little thing you do wrong, and sometimes blatantly lie to cover their own ass. They couldn't pay me enough! and they don't. They are unprofessional and if they don't like you they will invent reasons to write you up and try to fire you. Even though due to the nature of the store if you work there you will always be working hard. but it will never be appreciated and anything negative that they can possibly point out will be pointed out. You will never get positive feed back.

    Pros

Met a lot of interesting people while working at H&M of San Francisco.

    Cons

Management at H&M cares nothing about their associates. They are self centered and only care what benefits themselves.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Care more for your employees so they will be willing to work hard for the company.
