    Pros

Good pay. Set your own schedule, pre existing customer base. Good benefits. Lots of training from manufacturers and within the company.

    Cons

A lot of stress since the company went public a couple of years ago. Low morale since the company purged more than 300 employees in July of 2014 and continued dismissal of key employees.

    Advice to Management

Make the job fun again. It's hard to focus on your job when you are constantly worrying about when your time is going to come in terms of being let go.

    Pros

Wonderful staff, lots of vacation, sick time, wellness time. Low pressure, easy going environment.

    Cons

No opportunity to advance. Most senior staff are lifers due to the tons of time off. Any request for improvements are labeled as complaints and whining. Staff is treated with little professional respect. Any employee in the company who has a design direction gets to tell the designers what to do. There is no weight given to the designers ideas or input. One must agree with any and everyone in order to keep people happy.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the staff, treat them with respect. Most of us have degrees in design and are well qualified to provide profitable sales oriented, informed direction.

    Pros

Solid product offering, great employees, customer first mentality

    Cons

computer systems are a little behind the times. Website needs to be stronger. Some divisions have virtually no ecommerce capability. Company doesn't allow new initiatives enough time to bear fruit and as a result lays off capable and competent employees when these initiatives are ended prematurely.

    Advice to Management

Continue to keep your employees happy. Update the Ecommerce capabilities of some of your divisions. Don't be so quick to shut down new ventures and shed valuable employees.

    Pros

Large company that has a steady stream of business. They are flexible with schedules if you are a student. You get to operate power equipment.

    Cons

It is usually a harsh environment to work in. You could be working in extreme cold or the opposite extreme heat. You will breath dust containing who knows what all day.

    Advice to Management

Some management do not work together too well. This does not send a good message to employees. I always heard supervisors talking bad of each other.

    Pros

flexible work hours, many locations around the country, great people, focused on health and wellness, business casual clothing, focused on the customer experience

    Cons

things change often, high turnover in management, costly medical benefit plan, high deductible, hard to achieve bonus due to high growth targets

    Advice to Management

focus more on employee moral and satisfaction, need greater visibility to career path planning, would like better less expensive benefits

    Pros

The company really pushes health and well-being but they don't seem to understand Chick-fil-A is not exactly healthy.

    Cons

There is very little hope for advancement. Salary is below par

    Pros

Immediate paid vacation & sick time, opportunities to advance. Company appears to care about the health and well being of employees and offers many programs to assist those values.

    Cons

The pay is above minimum wave, more like medium range, but you are stuck there for a long time. Yearly raises aren't really that great, and the company is going downhill since they've become publicly traded. Management doesn't seem to care about the opinions of employees and often make poorly informed decisions that they end up retracting later because of it.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the people that actually do the job. You'll find out where the weaknesses are.

    Pros

I really liked the company and my team. We had great collaboration and could speak our minds. More often than not our concerns were addressed and reasons given for why we went in the direction we did. I was afforded many opportunities for getting widespread work experience.

    Cons

While I was there I was told repeatedly that I was overdue for a promotion by my management team. The red tape for promotion and entrenched management made forward progress very difficult.

    Advice to Management

If you cannot promote a valuable employee, put something in place that allows for economic progress to show how they are valued.

    Pros

Great benefits, no weekends, normal 9-5. Pay is good, not great. Managers seem to always be fair and understanding. Field sales has a lot of freedom. Solid company, leader in the facilities maintenance industry.

    Cons

Moving up can be difficult, company was growing fast 3 years ago but after we went public everything hit a plateau. Company is nepotistic. Micromanaging is obnoxious. Cross department communication is poor

    Advice to Management

Tightening your belt does not instill confidence in loyal employees who have been here for years
