    Pros

    BEST hike and remuneration
    Policies are transparent
If you are in the good books of Business Partners, say, your life is full of gold
Time passes so quick in hsbc.....Less work and more talks and recreational activities.
The Relationship HR managers are prompt and formalities are done in professional system.

    Cons

The Managers, especially , not direct but the functional head, its disgusting to let you know, they play all blame game,
No New Projects...Roll over with the same throughout.
Incorrigible and reluctant Manager...they don't want new projects to be migrated with the lame excuse of NO sufficient desk..

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

To the very very senior Management Team,Please sack this Managers who play dirty politics and favor who is gullible to you. They dont even communicate with the main money earner of the company.Just becuase of this few swine managers, the reputation goes down.As saying goes,,"People don't leave their company, they leave their managers?

I have been working at HSBC - HDPI full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Nothing great to talk about this organisation

    Cons

Hire wrong people for the wrong job.
Lack of 360 degree feedback enables managers to torture their employees for the pettiest things at office.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please think beyond pleasing the onshore units.
Please be stricter to your managers so that they can't torture their employees.
When you hire highly qualified people in your team, ensure that they get the right kind of work to do.
Due to change in policy, personal growth is completely restricted.
You are a foreign bank so you have to ensure that Indian employees get chances of visiting onshore units on a frequent basis which is not here currently. However it is not the same with other organisations functioning in India.

    Pros

In a site like Kolkata, India, it provides much needed employment for the local populace. That's the only good part.

    Cons

    - Poor, Pathetic Salary
    - Biased Management and HR
    - Ever changing policies leading to unsuccessful results
    - Very low employee morale

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You have a lot of work to do. Even the Indian Government is doing a better job than you ! I am unsure if the management on their own is apt !

3)No growth- work is not recognised at all.
4)No scope for out of box thinking. Just follow SOP's. No chance to utilise your mind.
    5)Favouritism to female employees
    6) The worst bonus and increments

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please care about the employees instead of having a gala time in the corner offices. Look at the attrition..a 700 seat centre you cant even fill half of it.

I have been working at HSBC - HDPI full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Only good about this company is its near to my place and provides transportation

    Cons

Its the worst place to work. Management, collegues and work environment everything is worst here. Its suffocating place.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat employees as friends and not as enemies and stop using bad languages (worst anybody can imagine). Do not think employees are tolerating, once the tolerance level is exceeded, everybody will come back to you. And also do not think you have all the powers in this place to rule on us.
