    Pros

    Work is good
people of same level are usually friendly

    Cons

Senior Management are not good. They expect you to bribe them by giving them parties or calling them for drinks and your promotion is guaranteed. There are few good managers you can count them on your fingers though.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work in our place. Get to know and then implement your rules.

    Pros

Good learning experience, intelligent managers , work life balance

    Cons

Managers don't have time for employees, office politics, favouritism, payscale too low compared to other analytics companies, no work from home policies, frequent change in management

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try boosting the morale of the employees, don't only run after personal gains. You are a leader also not just a manager. Think about this and you will save the attrition rate of your employees.

I have been working at HSBC - HDPI full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

compensation, perks and promotion (depends on the business you are working on) are okay type. Please keep in mind, since its financial sector, so you should not expect much as IT person (may be core engineering, ITO, Analytic etc)

    Cons

You would get multiple promotion and big big designation (by name) here. But actually you need to struggle (for searching job outside HSBC) a lot to match similar designation (outside HSBC) and skill sets you have developed (inside HSBC).....huge difference. You may need to compromise your job satisfaction with compensation you would be getting in HSBC

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

stop bureaucracy, get the right leaders in right place so that s/he can in turn streamline rest down the line. Get appropriate measurement in place across all the levels.
