I worked at Habitat for Humanity full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

I worked at the Restore. It was so satisfying to know that all the profits went towards building a house for people who probably could not afford to buy and own a their home.

    Cons

Once a price was put on an item, some people still wanted to "wheel and deal" for a cheaper price (normally all the items were well below retail, even as low as 50%)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep up the good work.

I have been working at Habitat for Humanity

    Pros

Working with all the volunteers. As well as interacting with the customers who come to either browse or purchase. I definitely got my workout while working there. I also learned how to repair many electrical items, that were being donated.

    Cons

I can't seem to find anything bad about working there. Yes, the weather got a bit hot and sticky at times but overall I had a delightful time working there.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I had three different bosses. They were always polite to me. Though, they would push me to work harder and faster. It was tedious at times, but they were always there to help or give constructive criticism.

I have been working at Habitat for Humanity

    Pros

The people are great and it is a easy going work environment. The people who give their own time are just amazing and everyone is so special.

    Cons

I wish I just get more hours. I just can't make it on only 20 hours a week. I love the company and the job but I have a wife and son to support.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There really isn't any upper management.

I have been working at Habitat for Humanity

    Pros

    Great feeling to help someone.
    Weather was decent.
    Team Leaders were helpful.
Co-volunteers were fun to work with.
    Breakfast and lunch were good.

    Cons

Ducking and dodging yellow jacket bees that were everywhere.
Muddy on the side of the house where we were doing siding.
Wish I could have helped more than just one day.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It would have been nice if the concrete was laid on the side of the house before siding was put on so the ground could have been more stable.
