    Pros

Good people, good product. Company is on the leading edge of natural growth. Benefits aren't bad. Some room for advancement depending on what you work on.

    Cons

Company does not live up to its word. Bonuses made and told you made bonus and then they pay extremely late or not at all. Offer letters are a joke. Talk of bonus potential and stock options and they don't deliver on any. The term discretionary is used often. this despite the fact that company growth has been double digits for past couple of years. If they hedge now - what is going to happen when sales do soften. 401k match is paid yearly and again, that is discretionary.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take care of those that work for you.

    Pros

Decent salaries, great people and solid team work. Benefits are decent too. Also, ability to purchase their products at a reduced price.

    Cons

Management DOES NOT LISTEN TO EMPLOYEES, causing very poor morale. Not everyone is treated equally. My biggest complaint was bonuses and annual merit increases. Some employees had to wait weeks, sometimes months to receive their bonuses and merit increase. This caused poor morale. Another example which caused poor morale was management telling a group of employees they were wasting time getting together for a pot luck luncheon and put a stop to it. Seriously????

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look aroud you, pay attention to employees and treat everyone the same. How can you not notice that several great employees have left the company?

    Pros

Forced to think creatively to save time. Learn a lot in short period of time. Learn to multi-task at lightening speeds.

    Cons

Long hours spent meeting short dead lines for much less than comparable wages else where. 401 K fund choices an employer contributions below average.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When you include a question in an appraisal self assessment make sure that you discuss the employee's response during his/her review.

    Pros

The company is growing via aquisitions. It is a fast paced shoot from the hip environment with very little thought given to the next quarter. This is a great environment for folks who enjoy fire fighting and the next big disaster to fix.

    Cons

Closed senior management. C level staff only concerned about cutting expenses and headcount. There is no long term view, just keep buying companies and hope for the best... Quality of products suffers, since it is the last item to receive funding and attention.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Create a new mission statement. Current: Grow the business to 1 Billion Dollars doesn't cut it. Hain Celestial is an Organic Food company that has strayed into other non organic lines of business...thus losing focus.

    Pros

Great brands, growth and products you can feel proud to bring to market. Business wise trying to be more than simply a sales broker with investment in marketing communications and innovation along with heavy emphasis on acquisitions.

    Cons

Poor benefits, salary and senior leadership non strategic and incompetent.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would start with the President - capable folks in Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain - New Sales VP is in over his head.
