    Pros

The job can be great depending on the manager. There are great growth opportunities and the leadership of the executive team is inspirational.

    Cons

They are working on making the different departments better, and ensure that everyone aligns with the vision of the company. Excited to see the end result of the changes, but sometimes can be stressful going through the changes.

    Pros

Good benefits, and plenty of room to grow and improve , and a good company to retire from. Lots of education given there.

    Cons

Sometimes you spend a lot of time from home and its stressful for family and friends. Some positions you can not move up in your position because of lack of training and or education

    Advice to Management

spend more time in field and actually learn more about your employees and give them what they deserve.

    Pros

They tend to hire good people, at least at the lower levels. They treat you like human beings and can be understanding. The oilfield service work schedule is tough, but the managers seem to try to help you out. The pay with bonus is very good and may have some time at home when things are slow, but when things are busy, there can be a lot of driving and very little sleep, but my personal experience is that management will not push too hard if you say you are too tired and don't feel safe driving. The provide good training and there are lots of resources to learn as much as you can. Opportunities are available to move up or around the US or overseas.

    Cons

can be very demanding schedule when things are busy, there are not a lot of career paths to get into a technical role, the work can be tedious. Can be difficult to move to another place, the local management will not allow you to leave without jumping through a lot of hoops or threatening to quit

    Advice to Management

Just be understanding of hard schedules and allow people to move around to gain experience to benefit their career.

    Pros

Pros of working at Halliburton is definitely being able to meet and work with people of different cultures from around the world. In addition, being part of a global organization with defined structure allows a young professional to learn from an industry leader and be exposed to a process driven company with competency based evaluations.

    Cons

The cons of working with Halliburton is that it is such a large organization that it is easy to become lost in the shuffle and not learn or be exposed to some things. Having a great supervisor or manager is key to being trained and led with the proper goals and metrics in place to measure your growth and success. If you are fortunate to have that special mentor it will pay dividends.

    Advice to Management

Please allow managers and supervisors the time to spend with their employees. There is so much valuable information transfer in the mentoring interaction that it is hard to quantify.
