Halliburton has been good to me!!

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Houston, TX

ProsOpportunity to work with people that I truly like and enjoy. It's a family atmosphere.

ConsCompensation isn't great. You have to put in at least 5 years or kill yourself out in the field before you see any real money. If you don't fight for it, you won't get it...i.e. raise, training, time off, etc.

Advice to Senior ManagementEngineers and technical personnel are not the only high performers in the company. Encourage everyone to succeed

My experiences within Halliburton has been a luxury that can not be afford.

MWD Engineer (Former Employee) Houston, TX

ProsThe best reasons to work for Halliburton are the people. You will not find a greater environment of folks that believes in teamwork and helping each one reach their goals.

ConsSome challenges you will face while working with Halliburton, while coming from a field engineer I was faced with challenges of planning my schedule around my job, instead of my job around my schedule. You have to be available for the time they call you until the job is finished. Some physical work is involved, but that's the sacrifice of being a field engineer.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep up the good work.
