summer Fridays off. Family sensitive colleagues. Trusted, solid brand.

Slow to change. Afraid to take risks aside from what they have done for 100 years.

    Pros

There are opportunities to grow there you just have to stick it out and pick at a good pace when you get good orders.

    Cons

There is a high turnover rate and the work isn't always consistent. Some weeks may be shorter than other weeks.

    Advice to Management

Continue to listen to your employees needs and make fair decisions for everyone, not just certain shifts and give people a chance to prove themselves.

    Pros

The pay isn't that bad. The work atmosphere is incredible on second shift. The work is tedious and the breaks are good.

    Cons

The managements idea at least expressed to the worker is get production and we will fire you. No matter how hard you work if your machine isn't working the whole department suffers for it. This is a dead end system. Management needs to update a lot of their machines, and update their repair department. Hire more fixers, and cut out some product that prevents orders going out as quickly as others. Supervisors in Packaging are being mistreated overflowing into how they treat the workers. The only way the operators/QC/fixers/material handers keep it together is by each other and even at that management seems to dislike.

    Advice to Management

Get out of your office, talk to your people, and let the people above you know what you hear from the workers because experience knows how to run a company no something you see on a sheet of paper.

    Pros

Great brands, summer hours, growing through acquisition. Winter break is nice, but requires saving vacation days so can be a challenge for newer employees.

    Cons

Most senior leaders are life-long employees so there are very set and defined parameters for each role. This limits individual creativity and slows the pace of innovation.

    Advice to Management

Focus on growing new leaders and allowing more individual development through specific accountability.

    Pros

Great Management and nice environment to work in.

    Cons

Budget to provide tools needed to accomplish tasks.

    Advice to Management

Look more into how we can strengthen the employees of the future instead of looking only at what is today.

    Pros

HBI has great on-site amenities for employees: gym, medical center, cafeteria, private rooms, etc. There are some opportunities if you network well.

    Cons

There is a very specific goal of achieving certain stock price marks, which is good, but it comes at the expense of the employees. This is turn helps to create a low morale that permeates throughout the company as most employees don't know whether or not they'll be there the next day.
