one of the best companies to work for.

Sales Associate (Current Employee) Katy, TX

Prosthe environment is great the company supports and takes every thing you say to heart. so if you have a concern about something and you want a investigation done about it you don't have to be upper management you can be just an associate. plus even as an associate you get a 401k and stokes. and they reward you for all hard work your a person to them not just another number.

Consnow the only annoying thing is that on a store front you only have two colors your allowed to wear black and white and no in between colors. You must always be in business attire so no canvas shoes nor tie up shoes dress shoes only. Their late palsy is extremely strict they run off a point system points are bad get many and your gone.

Advice to Senior Managementsome of the upper management needs to be in the stores more so you'll stop righting people up for one thing being out of place and when some one ask for a new thing because the other one broke try and fix it ones then send them it.

Great Company that strives to be the best

    Store Manager (Current Employee)

ProsThey are very hands on and wants to be the best so they make sure you are the best. They focus a lot on increasing sales; as any retailer would. They communicate with you and seem to care about the opinions of those working in the stores.

ConsThey need to definitely update POS registers. We just recently went from updated POS registers and systems from Maidenform to outdated registers with Hanes. It definitely took a while to get used to!

I had a great experience working at Hanesbrands!

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsHanes compensation is very generous and the employees are wonderful to work with. I had a great rapport with my manager and fellow employees in the department.

    Access to 401K

ConsMost positions are classified as HBI Temp, so no company health benefits or paid vacation.

Advice to Senior ManagementTake control of your Plus Size merchandise! Very few plus size stores actually carry merchandise that fits their customers. Reduce the neck line opening and pull up the shoulder seam. Offer longer lengths. I guarantee sales will dramatically increase!

Good company that could be great

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsStrong brands that are market leaders. With Maidendform acquisition there is a lot of growth potential. I anticipate more acquisitions in the future. The employees are all very nice and there seems to be a decent amount of career opportunities.

ConsSome of the people, processes, and products themselves are dated but I guess that's common with a manufacturing company. A lot of things are black & white and decision making power is held by the execs only.

Advice to Senior ManagementImplement change where needed and empower employees more to drive decisions. Be more proactive versus reactive to keep up with the ever changing consumer.
