Pros – Fellow employees were knowledgeable willing to work together for the better good of the Medical Center
Cons – Required many long hours of work >8 hours /day to complete the work load.
Advice to Senior Management – Always listen to the employees, both pro and con, and be willing to change the method of accomplishing the various tasks and work loads.
Pros – Plenty of opportunity for learning.
Cons – Short staffed, work the staff too much.
Pros – good benefits, free personal trainers, free flu shots, new company culture that focuses on the experience for patients and employees, expanding health care company in a time that healthcare is going through radical changes
Cons – no maternity benefits, no child care, difficult to get your foot in the door with your first position, small town location
Advice to Senior Management – It takes time for new culture to "stick"...continue to develop the culture that you want to see and eventually it will happen
Pros – Yearly raises and quarterly bonuses. Good benefits.
Cons – Long hours and unpredictable schedule.
Advice to Senior Management – Listen to employees more. Don't make every decision based on money.

Pros – The company treats employees fairly. Pays well with above average benefits. Gets employees involved and keeps them in the loop. When eliminating positions, does their best to find another job in the company. Excellent wellness programs for employees.
Cons – Some of the people in positions of authority are just impossible to work for. Human Resources is woefully ineffective, at least for internal customers.
Advice to Senior Management – Selectively prune ineffective and abusive managers.

No transparency. Things are kept "hush-hush".
Advice to Senior Management – CEO message is good but it takes all members of management to be engaged to make things work. The momentum from 'rah-rah" speeches only last so long. Some members of upper management never darken the door of my department how can they know the direction to lead if they do not know what is going on?
