    Pros

    Heartland is an honest and ethical company that operates in an industry where others often bend the rules. heartland offers world-class service and products. Fast pace environment where entrepreneurs thrive because of the autonomy and income potenial. On the flip side, people lacking work ethic or discipline weed themselves out pretty fast. Company is growing, which opens up so many opportunities for promotions and new roles. Ton's of recognition and incentive programs to reward results. The company truly rewards the individuals who bring value to the organization and deliver results.

    Cons

    Some of the systems and reporting avenues can improve. For example, some of the reporting is done through email, which will evolve over time. The CRM is also an opportunity to build in a robust prospect pipeline with a disposition function. Work life balance can be a challenge at times, but then again it falls more on the employee to turn off the cell phone when deciding not to work.

    Advice to Management

    Continue to invest in hiring top talent, training and development of the talent, and rewarding the ones who consistently deliver the results. The sales leadership training will provide huge returns. Continue to lead with the innovative technology.

    Pros

    The compensation program here is 2nd on NONE! I came to Heartland leaving a 6 figure income job, and now am in a position where where I am working my own schedule and have a residual income to put me in a position of financial freedom.

    Cons

    The self discipline to work hard and putting in the effort needed to be successful.

    Pros

    If you want true pay for performance, this is for you. Signing Bonuses are great and residual is awesome. It's my 4th month and I'm 150% to goal. My activity dictates my pay and I'm trending to make over $100k. I have complete support from my DM, sales mentor, and nesting advocate. More to come!

    Cons

    Hard to say... If I had to put an area of improvement it would be set collateral. We had Pitchpro at another firm that allowed me personalize better marketing material. I love my iPad and ability to keep all material there but if I had to name something it would be improvement to marketing material.

    Pros

    Have the ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented. Have ability to proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner.

    Cons

    none- train entry level candidates with little to no experience and catapult their confidence and experience to the next level!

    Pros

    Autonomy, Product Suite, Comp Plan, Support, Training, and Leadership. It's great to have products that you feel good selling. It's even better to have a comp plan that rewards your efforts. Company is built on integrity and ethics and you feel this everyday. I love waking up and facing the challenge of my job. As my Division Manager tells me each Monday, T.G.I.M.!

    Cons

    There is a lot of saturation in the market. If you are able to convey why we are better and different to business owners and influencers, you will make a lot of money.

    Advice to Management

    Thank you! I appreciate working for people that want me to succeed and support my career. I have worked in the "dangle the carrot" corporate environment and this is different.

    Pros

    The best thing about working for Heartland is the flexibility! You work the hours you want with minimal micromanagement. You make the amount of money that you put into it. If you hustle and work hard the amount of money you make and the opportunities are endless. The pay for a salesman is very lucrative. After a year or two you can honestly make 200k+ a year if you are a go getter!

    Cons

    You are working from home with minimal management, so if you aren't a go getter it is easy to fail. No sales office so you will have to work from home.

    Pros

    Heartland Payment Systems is a wonderful company to work for. The atmosphere is pleasant, which makes everyday that I'm there more relaxed. I am grateful to be at a stress-free job. They start off pay is quite decent (for someone without kids). The building is huge with a variety of amenities. You're supplied with free coffee. They have a cafeteria on the main floor, a gym and showers on the 2nd floor, a day care exclusively for the employees children (grandchildren, nieces/ nephews). The growth of this company is admirable.

    Cons

    I have absolutely no complaints about HPS. I came from a place where my hard work went unnoticed and I was underpaid.

    Pros

    Great benefits and comp plan. Signing Bonuses outweigh base salary with most companies. It can double if you work hard. We have a great product line up that allows you to overcome objections. Team culture and support is top notch.

    Cons

    No bank relationship or name recognition outside of the industry. You must enjoy talking to people and interacting to be successful.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing. We are making headway in Houston and my managers are accessible.

    Wonderful forward thinking company with excellent sales support and unbelievable opportunity to enhance personal wealth all the while maintaining a work/life balance. A rare quality in this day and age!

    Must be a self starter who has initiative to build personal wealth and has a vested interest in growing portfolio through networking, prospecting, and cold calling.

    Management is focused on hiring new talent and honing the skills of current sales force. They are forward thinking consistently trying to streamline our sales process to make it simpler to implement change and enhance our earning potential!!
