    Pros

The people you work with day -to-day are the best people around...your peers are the only tolerable part of the job. The shop is top of the line equipment and all...but its just for show.

    Cons

Don't fall for the signing bonus gimmick they use to get you in the door...it doesn't exist. The GM himself told me the company doesn't give signing bonuses. If you are promised anything, GET IT IN WRITING or you will NOT GET IT. BOTTOM LINE. MH is the biggest liar of them all. Management makes promises they don't keep. They will say anything to get you in the door, but never follow through with it. Management at this location is deceitful, lies to employees and doesn't back you up. Management paints a picture of the work likfe balance that doesn't exist once you start working there. Management claims you will get a lot of turned hours, and they will fight for your pay, but they don't. Benefits cost a lot for your portion, but don't cover anything. the warranty clerk will dupe you out of money every chance they get because management only cares abotu company profit not you making a living. they will screw you wherever they can.

    Advice to Management

Dont lie! Do what you say you will. Don't get rid of the people who make the company better. Don't pretend the Rick Hendrick motto of Happy customers are due to happy employees. He's so out of touch...employees get treated poorly. Don't advertise signing bonuses of $2,000-$5,000 when you know the company does not give them.

    Pros

Some of the people are fun to work with, but most of them are grease bags. I am having trouble coming up with much good about Hendrick.

    Cons

They are very deceitful, lied to me about my base salary, and when you make a sale, they take from your base and replace it with the money you made on a sale.

    Advice to Management

Clean house. Help new employees instead of promoting the old guys.

    Pros

The management is eager to get things going in this new huge facility and the place look great, but that's it.

    Cons

They promise you great payments and benefits but what finally arrives on your bank account is just ridiculous if you are not in internet sales and have already a customer base which you bring to this company. $1400/month is the base net salary and from thereon the "sky is the limit". But that's it. 60-80 hours per week are easily on the schedule and the pay finally 50% of WALMART. Sales Associates are constantly manipulated and motivated but the volume of customers (on the weekend) stands in no relation to the count of sales staff. 50 visitors on a Saturday are handled by 18 (!) Sales Associates and finally 5 cars sold. Within the week it's mostly slow or dead. You can't make a living with that. Pure panic within 70% of the employees is standard.

    Advice to Management

Get things going or stock shelves at WALMART!

    Pros

401k savings plan and very good health coverage.

    Cons

80+ hours a week. Upper management is crude and treats everyone like a slave instead of a person, no respect to life and living. Lots of HR problems with discrimination, belittling, and crewd comments made between employees or at other employees.

    Advice to Management

Re-read Hendricks company vision, just because it hangs on the wall doesn't mean you read it or are guided by it.

    Pros

Hmmm....Once a week in morning meetings you get Hardees biscuits, they'll come in steak, ham and sausage...if you're lucky you can grab two!!!:) You'll also get to drop your business card in a box to be picked and win a chance to spin for money.

    Cons

Is one star the lowest I can choose from????Sheesh....Very negative attitudes, as I was told by a used car manager (you can easily be replaced) as he plucked a crum off the desk. The managers will belittle you, and they over staff because they expect people to leave...the turnover rate is VERY high...I've seen 3 quit in a week. Just not a good place and they don't make you wanna sell a car for them...assuming you'll even get a customer to talk to...they hire anyone, kids who are inexperienced and can't sell and more so run away potential sales that those who can sell miss out on. I could keep going, but you should have the picture by now, choose the car lot across or down the street,,, avoid this dealership...Oh, and they don't advertise,,, not in my location anyways which is HUGE!!! Who knows you exist?

    Advice to Management

Your managers are the reason your dealership isn't getting to the next level, and more so at a standstill. But I guess if you're still profiting it doesn't matter, but in order to climax you wanna keep good and loyal salesman/employees. Change your higher up employees, look into how they're treating your salesman at least..I had an altercation in front of co workers & customers on the showroom floor because your manager decided to belittle and put my business out there for others to hear. Not professional at all.....

Did not have anyone to report to, employees got away with watching tv instead of working because of this

    Cons

Did not have anyone to report to, sales management was unprofessional and rude

    Advice to Management

The majority of sales managers need to go. Shady, unethical behavior and deals go on regularly. Hire better talent and more HR professional that have experience (currently there is 1 HR rep who is a recent college grad with no experience for 200+ employees.)

    Pros

Top notch facilities in all their stores. Once had innovative approaches to an ever changing business climate. Due to a long history there are many great employees. Looks good on your resume.

    Cons

Has become way too corporate. Instead of each store having an autonomous GM there are now regional managers who are nothing more than puppet masters. Their first directive is showing more profit. The short term solution is to cut payroll by introducing new, very aggressive and unattainable pay plans and eliminating some mid level managers. Those left behind assume duties once held by departed staff at a lower compensation level and longer hours. I was given a "promotion" after a manager left, it took a month to get a new pay plan that was less than what I made in a lower position with the requirement of more hours. There are people who have been in new positions for 90 plus days with no pay plan. The reduced staff are overworked to the point that simple requests such as logins for new employees, business cards, ID badges and the like take weeks instead of days. It can take up to a month to get employees processed after hire. All of the midlevel managers at our store left within a few months. I left of my own accord. Got an upper management job with a smaller auto group with only a GM to answer to and, get this, a decent pay plan with less required hours.

    Advice to Management

People with talent have options. You'd better start thinking a little more long term. Put the spreadsheet down and spend some time on the floor taking an honest look at who is taking care of "your" customers. Over worked, under paid employees get to the point that they simply don't care. I got out because I take pride in what I do and began to feel that way. Dont kid yourselves into believing employees dont communicate to each other both at the same store and within the group. If I can see it Im quite sure others can and have.

    Pros

It COULD be a good place to work if they treated people with respect, but they don't. Preferential treatment and inconsistencies in procedures and deal handling result in inconsistent performance in sales, which is then blamed on the sales staff. There is minimal marketing of the brand and store. Managers treat customers like their time is not valuable and often treat the deals like a game. Customers get pissed off and realize that they can almost always get more value at other area Lexus dealerships, but then it's the sales associate who is blamed for not making the sale. Managers are not held accountable for their failure in making the deals that are attractive to buyers.

    Cons

Taken straight from their "Meet the staff" webpage: "A Culture Of Caring. Our working environment nurtures individual support and positive reinforcement, making us unique in the automotive industry. By fostering interpersonal synergy, we enable our team members to take care of Hendrick Lexus guests in world-class fashion and demonstrate how truly different we are. We live our values of respect, integrity, teamwork, honesty and trust every day with every guest, treating each one as a valued member of our extended family. Meet the staff members who have created the culture of caring that sets us apart." Sadly this is nothing but a sales pitch and huge LIE! There is no nurturing of anyone or anything. There is NO individual support. There is NO positive reinforcement. Management is constantly power-tripping and openly said in meetings that if you don't like it,there's the door. Management needs retraining. One on ones are not the place to compare staff to one another, especially by name. Associate reviews and related documentation should not be left out in the open on manager's desks for others to see; regardless of it being positive or negative, it's private and should be treated as such. Management, rather than coaching and providing positive feedback and constructive guidance, prefers to threaten and bully people. Sales associates are treated like scum, unless you're the top performer. Management does NOT encourage a team environment, in fact, they isolate lower performers and ostracize them. They reprimand others who talk to them or engage them. It's an extremely demeaning and unprofessional atmosphere. Management is not on the same page with one another or sales associates. One manager will tell someone to do something, another manager will tell that same associate to do something completely opposite -- then no matter what, the associate is wrong. These and other matters have been brought up to managers in meetings but very little has changed. They still treat people in an unprofessional and demeaning manner. They do not respect people's time. Sales associates may come in early and stay late, but then if you need to take time off it's a problem. The dealership is closed on Sundays, but in the past, with MINIMAL notice (as in 1 day) management will state that the dealership will be open on a Sunday and it is required that everyone be there. This is a commission based position but NO ADDITIONAL compensation is given for working unscheduled, unplanned days like this. There is NO work life balance, unless of course you're a manager or the top sales person. Management has instructed sales people to tell customers lies about other dealerships. If you have worked at another dealership that a customer mentions they are also shopping, management has instructed sales staff to tell customers negative things about the other dealerships and their products. Management does not support the Hendrick core values. There's no integrity, there's no teamwork, there's nothing positive about Hendrick Lexus Northlake. Go to Johnson or Flow for better treatment and a more positive experience regardless if you're a customer or an employee. Management does not distribute extreme deals, ups or appointments consistently. There are some sales associates who are favored so they receive the most deals. Others who are not favored or who are being ostracized rarely receive any deals. There is no fairness in distribution, it's all based on favor. Additionally, managers regularly retaliate against people.

    Advice to Management

See "Cons". This management team needs to be gutted and rebuilt with experienced and mature leadership. This dealership has gone downhill in the last 6 - 8 months and has become a very negative and toxic place to be. The current management team is a waste of space with their daily meetings that last for hours and during this time they are inaccessible to sales associates. Customers get irritated with having to wait only to be jerked around. Sales associates are tired of being held responsible for the inconsistencies and immaturity in management. We've lost a considerable number of deals over petty games that management plays with customers. When customers can go to Audi or other mid or high-line stores, like some of your own managers and staff have to buy a new car, why do you think they would put up with the games and lack of respect you offer at Lexus?
