    Pros

Nice place, most folks are nice. Management not overbearing or unreasonable, at least thats how i am treated. Spends money on technology, some training. Benefits are pretty good, good 401k match. Lots of people with more than 10 years.

    Cons

No planning, no project management, while they talk about culture there are loads of personal fiefdoms and a lot of people who don't want to work together. People only want to keep doing things the same way. Even if you offer to collaborate or be part of the design process your input is not welcome, even if you area is part of the project.

    Advice to Management

Please get some project managers and please make projects follow some kind of PM structure. Very frustrating to be not be assigned part of a project until the last possible minute, especially when there are design decisions. And stop with the Rah Rah meetings. Nobody buys it any more and it would be a lot better to have round-table discussions about upcoming projects or initiatives so people can get into the discussion sooner.

    Pros

The company itself is great to work for, great health benefits and great for the community.

    Cons

When there's a problem, certain management isn't willing to listen & help with the problem.

    Advice to Management

Listen to employees when they come to you for assistance instead of turning your backs or lying to them.

    Pros

Had a lot of free range to complete assigned tasks and projects. Company provided a lot of avenues for interns to network with each other and others in company. Everyone is very friendly and will go out of their way to help new employees. Upper management sought help and input from interns regarding marketing strategies.

    Cons

Would have preferred to have more oversight and/or training. Ended up having a lot of free time when tasks were completed ahead of schedule. Intern salaries are a bit on the low side (but it does beat working for no compensation).

    Pros

get to work with fun people. The benefits are great

    Cons

if you don't pass their tests (which are poorly written and self contradictory) You can forget about getting a raise whether it's a year review or not

    Advice to Management

look at a person's performance and see if they deserve a raise not if they can't pass a test where all questions are things that are part of the job description anyway

    Pros

Henry Schein has a great name in dentistry so as a sales rep you already have some credibility. With a big company comes lots of resources to help you be as successful as possible. Lots of freedom to run your territory and your schedule the way that you want. This freedom, however, isn't always great for everyone. Must be VERY self motivated. Very strong career development program at Henry Schein.

    Cons

Big company comes with a lot of corporate initiatives and run around. The right hand doesn't seem to always know what the left hand is doing and as a sales rep you are stuck as the face to the problem.

    Pros

Other staff members are great. The location and new building are very good - there are some really nice benefits like a ping-pong table and foosball table. Also, they have provided low price healthy snacks. The work environment is positive and there is not a lot of micro-managing.

    Cons

Not much to say, I have enjoyed my time with the company.

    Advice to Management

Nothing to say here. I've been lucky and had a string of top notch managers. The company management is strong and seems to be taking us in the right direction.

    Pros

You can run your own show.

    Cons

Comp could be higher. Your potential for earning and your lifestyle is largely dependent on your location/manager.

    Advice to Management

Podium speaker. Uncap the comp plan.
