I worked at Herbalife part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Work at your own pace/schedule, minimal starting costs, great community, quality products, good opportunity for basic sales experience

    Cons

Highly competitive, sales are targeted at friends/acquaintances in the beginning, and difficult to sell products without a large network. Some Herbalife health coaches have questionable business practices. Frequently coaches try to sell the business rather than the products.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be careful not to allow Health Coaches to push the business instead of the products. Many coaches make most of their money by signing people up to sell rather than by selling products.

I have been working at Herbalife full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

    Solid C-suite
Good attitudes of staff in general
    Good benefits
Some folks can work from home
    Distributors are super enthusiastic

    Cons

Message from really good senior leaders doesn't always make it to the staff
    Some ineffective managers
    Distractions in the media

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give all your VPs 360s from their staff and read the reviews. This is a culture about continuous improvement and by asking all your leaders to do this, you will get a lot better understanding of how your teams are viewed.

    I worked at Herbalife

    Pros

The work from home opportunity is great if you are motivated. The tools that are available to help you succeed are fantastic. The earning possibilities are endless. Herbalife products are FANTASTIC! I lost 50 lbs and felt the best I had ever had since I was a kid.

    Cons

The start up and time management needed to succeed is a great thing if your full time job and family life isn't already full.
