    Pros

If I was fresh out of college, I might work here for a year just to have something on my resume.

    Cons

This company will nickel and dime you to death. They get upset if you cross an ocean on business for them and then take a 10 pound cab. Then they want you to work 60 hours and pay you for 40.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Loosen up. Find a manager older than 25.

    Pros

They provide an extend variety of courses and self training in different topics for both technical and managerial.

    Cons

The employee needs are not as valuable as the customer's, the travel policies are also very inefficient, I've heard of companies that are willing to give more support to the employees and their families. Companies that really care about the employee needs and his/her family.
This happens usually in the Mexico Center.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Your employees are the foundation of who you are, pay more attention to their needs.

I have been working at Hexaware Technologies full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    1. Flexi Timings.
    2. Good and planned office transport.
    3. If in .net or Peoplesoft team, then may get onsite opportunities.
    4. Good for freshers, they will literally spoon feed you.
    5. Lot of training planned for wanna be managers and requirement analysis/gathering.
    6. Can get a good hike on joining.

    Cons

    1. Everything is billing oriented. People sitting next to you may not work for months while you do 16-17 hrs a day.
    2. Office transport is paid.
    3. Very less onsite opportunities for Java folks. Also Java group is neglected by the top management. Its like you are there somewhere in org but nobody cares.
    4. Projects are very poorly planned andd almost everytime employee takes the hit for poor planning on upper management.
    5. If you sit in one of the ODC then you are literally treated as slaves for your onsite client. You are expected to work like robot. There wont be any KT, any requirement documentation, projet tracking.
6.Irregular annual hike. No arrear plus they will keep postponing it by as many months as possible.
    7. Poor hike ( 2%, 5%, &% etc). It may happen that the person in your team who didnt get much work in the year get 5% and your being a star employee always overburdened with work get 8% :).
8.Poor office infrastructure and maintainence. Cafeteria sucks, food is bad and overpriced. No pest control ( cockroaches and other insects crawl in washroom and around coffee machines).
    9. Policies are not employee friendly. they dont give you food coupons to save tax.
    10. Only 1.5 Lac insurance coverage.
    11. Limited and crappy employee recreational stuff and activities.
    12. Employee recognition sytem is poor.
    13. These people work on P4 machines. Internet is restricted, educational sites are also prohibited.
    14. You may not get salary on last working day.
    15. You fill face transport problem in case yo stay late night and dont own a conveyance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to see the employee as a person also rather than a billing machine. Being L5 company also means fulfilling certain needs of employees. If client is wrong speakup rather than taking it all from client and dumping on emplyoees.

Not Bad Company to Work for

Former Employee - Business Development Manager in Chennai (India)
Former Employee - Business Development Manager in Chennai (India)

I worked at Hexaware Technologies part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

If you are in a GOOD BU (Business Unit) you should be OK.
Choose QATS (testing Service) Its growing and still growing
Has good number of Onsite Oppurtunites
All Indian Festivals will be celebrated.

    Cons

Hexaware Finance is utterly BAD. I mean they dont have any fixed process. All join hands together. Buttering is very much required if you need to get your bills paid for. They are in the 1920's IT world where they need paperwork for everything. This is one unit where anyone who are or left the organization feels the WORST managed UNIT.
    2) Hexaware LOVEs to pay more and more taxes to the Govt. They dont want to give lots of Tax exemption plans to the employees. Employees feel they are paying higher tax than other companies.
    3) Coming on to Vacation/Holidays... Policy is WORST in the IT industry.
    4) Now the introduction of Mandated hours has pissed off many many employees in the organization. They have some mandated hours of 7Hrs per day. If by mistake you clock in 6.59 Hours your Half day Earned Leave is gone for a TOSS. On the contrary i f you work 1 minute more you dont get 1/2 day more Earned Leave. This policy SUCKS and makes you to be feel like you are in CORPORATE JAIL.
    5) The Company does not care of resource utilization. If the unit shows a bench strength of 10% or more Upper management is not bothered. Irrespective of the Grade he is in.
    6) Im surprised to see people working for 10 YEARS or more!!!! Imagine the kind of Work ethics if would have developed and made other new comers to follow. They canot get out because they dont know anything or does not want to go because they cannot get paid too much.
    7) Salary is not fixed for grades. If you are critical resource and needs you dont be surprised you will be drawing more than your Manager. NO Set process
    8) They have only few Strong accounts who are runing the business. If one FAILS drastically then you will see negative about Hexaware.
    9) No Corporate Culture Environment.

    Will get onsite opportunity easily

    Cons

Dominates only Tamils if you are in chennai location. No proper performance appraisals. hard Timings if you are in bench you have to come office. No ethics, if they layoff, they will layoff and showing funny causes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice
