    Pros

large company; freedom to implement policies and procedures; interdepartmental support

    Cons

leadership more concerned with own development than with development of subordinates; low-mid level management coverage was spread very thin for business volume and number of direct reports for each manager

    Advice to Management

Focus on and provide advancement opportunities to internal development of top performing managers

    Pros

Work from home, so no commute time which means I save on gas. Also, there are great benefits.

    Cons

Different work schedule than discussed during interview process. I work swings and weekends so that cuts away from the family time with my little ones, school aged mostly.

    Pros

I loved my co-workers and that every day was different. Exciting challenges come with working a hotel.

    Cons

No growth opportunities from within and hardly any raises (depends on who franchises the hotel you work for)

    Advice to Management

Higher pay and more cross training.

    Pros

Working together with colleagues and my team is awesome. Mostly a positive atmosphere. Supervisors have to maintain composure while managers are allowed to freak out.

    Cons

Can't speak up or out of place. Your ideas are their ideas. Management cares less about increased revenue and more about who they personally like more.

    Advice to Management

Get to know your people instead of asking around and going by hearsay. Manage.
