I have been working at Hilton Worldwide full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

I liked my co workers. The pay and benefits are great. There was a union in my hotel so we had meals given to us for each shift at no charge. I watched a few colleges promote to other positions and departments.

    Cons

No home/work balance. Absolutely no aaccomodations for students or people with any other responsibilities. They have no sympathy or understanding for who you are when you are or what you have going on when you're not on the clock. You're just a warm body to them. Rude management. Outdated and crashing systems. Unrealistic upsell expectations.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take care of your employees if you want to keep them. You cannot pay someone enough to take that much stress.

I worked at Hilton Worldwide full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Good pay (if they actually get your paycheck right), great opportunities to move around, great benefits

    Cons

Horrible bureaucratic management, horrible unionized staff that never work, poor training

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give your new hired managers a chance instead of throwing the baby out with the bathwater when you get a "hunch." You're a great company, but your scores are lousy because you don't give managers enough breathing room to shine.

I have been working at Hilton Worldwide

    Pros

Pay was not good, annual raises which were great but they were usually 10 cents or less. The guests and some of my co-workers were the only real thing I enjoyed about the job.

    Cons

Like I said. No hours, bad pay, and disorganized management.

  10.

Pleasant and positive place to work most of the time.

I have been working at Hilton Worldwide

    Pros

The benefits walking in are pretty good considering that I'm only On-Call/Banquet-Server. Team members are really cool to work with most of the time, and its usually all smiles all day. Easy work environment and down to earth boss's.

    Cons

Favoritism gets completely out of control most of the time. No one's generally held accountable for their actions. We have high levels of immaturity that can cause unnecessary work difficulty. Lack of consistent hours and last second cancellation's. Mangers are mostly on point but tend to be easily detracted and lose focus of job responsibilities. Full-time employees complain alot about Part-Time employees getting as many hours as them; but generally themselves don't follow the standard that they've complained about. Since we're union they make multiple excuses and complain about everything almost all the time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hold employees accountable for their action and hold them to a high standard. Learning more efficient ways to get job done. Learn how to be an actual boss at work and not someone's buddy. Maintaining hilton standards as such to create a professional and positive workplace experience.

    Pros

Had a good time working for them, and the benefits were to die for! Time well spent.

    Cons

Nothing bad to say! At times didn't get along with people, but that tends to happen to everyone. No biggie.
