    Pros

Sundays off, flexible shifts, friendly people, good money, relaxed atmosphere, relatively easy job, opportunity for advancement, and other good stuff.

    Cons

The are very strict about behavior, dress code and other company policies. They're also a Christian company so there's no swearing or smoking or stuff like that.

    Advice to Management

I don't really have any complaints. I enjoy working here and the pay is good. I like your company policies and the work environment, so you really shouldn't considerbchanging anything.

    Pros

Great place to work. Very flexible and accommadating with my school schedule.

    Cons

Not many cons. If I had one it would be not always getting to lunch relatively on time, and not so much because there were long lines. And many times I relied on my lunch break to help me get through the day.

    Advice to Management

Keep on top of CSM's. Sometimes theres a slack in getting cashiers off the register and to lunch on time.

    Pros

Great benefits for full time workers. Good hours. Great company to work for, as they do care for their workers. Great pay with raises almost every year. Our store had a great manager that cared about his employees and customers. Bonuses every year for full time employees. Sick leave, and once you get to your maximum amount, the company will pay you the hours that go beyond that at the end of the year. Paid leave. The longer you stay with the company, the longer the paid leave they give you. Great environment over all.

    Cons

As with other retail jobs, the holidays are extremely busy and work hours are long. But still, since it's an hourly job, you get extra $$$ for the holidays! When sales are slow, you get less hours, and if you are there part time, that might mean you get no hours until sales get better. The manager moved to a different store. You can tell that the environment changed. The new manager is a "go go go" type of person, and cares more about the company and the money than the employees. Which is understandable, but letting go of people within your first month in the store makes everyone else who stays feel like they are walking on egg shells. And no, I am not one of those that were let go. The assistant manager has an attitude that he is not ashamed to show the customers.

    Advice to Management

Caring about sales is completely understandable, but helping your employees grow is important as well. Since the first manager of our store left, the store environment completely changed and you can tell that the employees are either scared or sad, or a combination of both. We are all humans, and we thrive in a place where we know we are safe and happy. Build a good working relationship with your workers, get to know them. Treat your customers right, do not give them an attitude, and do not let them walk out of the store and tell one of your employees that "your manager sucks."

    Pros

The hours are wonderfully easy to work with and overtime is always available during the holiday season. The pay and benefits can't be beat.

    Cons

The hardest part about working at Hobby Lobby are the freight days. If you are a department lead you arrive early to help unload the truck, then are expected to process, price and put out all the items in your dept on the same day regardless of how long it takes.

    Advice to Management

A day and a half to put up freight would be more than helpful.
