Pros – It is a small enough company with many things to do... which means the ability to wear multiple hats across many different roles. Company is growing, and new faces are providing fresh ideas and perspectives from the outside world.
Cons – Roles and responsibilities are not always defined or clear. Some people have been at HSB for a very long time, and change to structure and process, is hard to implement.
Pros – -Located in downtown Seattle.
-I felt appreciated and respected.
Cons – -For many years, the company was under a C&D which meant no raises and no fun. Company morale was low because everyone was worked to the bone.
-IT department made my life difficult. I felt like I couldn't be fully efficient in my position because of the how tightly they controlled everything.
Advice to Senior Management – Please bring back some fun to the company now that you're on the upswing of the financial crisis. The employees desperately need a boost in morale.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
