    Pros

Pay is at market. Benefits are fine.

    Cons

Bullying by managers and physicians is rampant. Anyone who speaks up or complains will be unceremoniously fired. The reputation in the community, if you ask around, isn't stellar. I've worked for several healthcare companies and will never work for this one again.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Clean up your organization and start with the top leaders. Expect them to act with integrity, honesty and fairness and hold them accountable for it. Performance manage your LEADERS first! No wonder you get sued all the time.

    Pros

They have a excellent benefits package, friendly atmosphere and flexible work hours. Overall it is very stable company and the exceptations are very consistent.

    Cons

For some people, there are many chances to advance for others no room to advance for others management has their picks if you aren't in good with management you don't stand a chance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

They need to show more appreciation for there employees. Should require management to take diversity training. They need to help groom employees weakness to make it their strengths. They don't inform employees what they need to do to move forward. The company has outside firm to do employee survey but you never see any results. They don't value the employees that are over 55. They don't offer an affordable retirement package for your medical. I feel they should pay the same for active and retired employees.

    Pros

    Cons

Low fixed raises, poor leadership, inflexible, management plays favorites, company suck in 1990s mentality with diversity

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pros

Some of the employees really are great to work with, but most should not be working in a medical field.

    Cons

They care more about the bottom line then they do patient care. Hiring uncertified MA's that don't know a generic drug from a brand name.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

They need to care more about patients and employee's

    Pros

I worked for HCA for over 20 years. They were very conscious of patient satisfaction and good care. Recently. It was all about money and dangerously cutting staff. Several patient falls, and only hiring new grads. Having unbearable assignments of up to 8 or more patients with the charge nurse at times having to take just as many in order to take some of the load off the nurses. Very poor nurse moral, and no plans in place to make any of this better. Finally left, vowing to never let a hospital turn me in to a nurse I know I never want ro be.

    Pros

Very limited on Pros. Had alot of potential until management was unable to maintain.

    Cons

Lousy management when present (most moved or got fired), limited advancement unless out of state, Outdated models of clinical applications compared to other companies. Meditech being a primary example. Windows XP being another example. Alot of revolving doors in the particular facility I speak of and "duct-tape" fixing instead of doing it right.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider firing most of TriStar Division IT&S Leadership!
