    Pros

    Good concerned employees who cared about their futures with the comapny.

    Cons

    poor management misuse of company funds no understanding of worker needs or customer needs poor company culture

    Advice to Management

    better treatment and recognition of valued employees better understanding of customers needs in developing products and advertising

    Pros

    Very Challenging work. Never a dull moment We produced and shipped massive amounts of product by team efforts. I enjoyed the workers dedication to quality and timeliness.

    Cons

    Top level execs robbed the company blind and got away with it. They stole pension money from the workers and got away with it. Most of the operational choices made that lost money were made so that they could inflate and misstate those losses. They were not trying to grow the business and make it profitable.

    Advice to Management

    You (collectively) bankrupted the company. I hope an investigation is opened and it is discovered how your corrupt dealings landed you millions while the workers got thrown under the bus...

    They had great benefits to offer

    Pros

    The money was great and the people that I worked with were awesome.

    Cons

    60-70 hours per week wasn't.

    I hope you will never have this much responsibility again.

    Pros

    Being able to get out and deal with customers on a daily basis. Also, providing a service to the community by distributing a commodity.

    Cons

    Management was very secretive about what was really going on with the company, maybe their way of keeping employees there until the end.

    No need to give advice, they ran the company into the ground.

    There were no pros to working here.

    Pros

    Hostess had an iconic product still in demand.

    Cons

    Management failed in so many ways with Hostess, and not just with respect to union contracts. You can't continue to operate the same way you have for 100 years and expect to compete.

    Before they bought Wonder in the 90's IBC was a GREAT place to work.

    The Company Liquidated in 2012

    Upper Management should have listened to the employees in the field.

    Pros

    To work to improve the culture and make a difference in the management team.

    Cons

    Any improvement attempted is fought at all levels and departments to keep the status quo for fear of raising the bar and possibly the performance expectations.
    Extremely low integrity among management. Very low accountability for those not performing.

    Advice to Management

    Stop expecting the same people who put the company in the position it's in to do any different than they've done since years before the last bankruptcy.
    Stop trying to turn the company around with the same people who drove it into the ditch in the first place. It wasn't the union. It was supervision all the way through EVPs that did this.
