I have been working at Houston Food Bank full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Often a company will speak of changing, growing and getting better but rarely does it ever happen. The Houston Food Bank has strongly matured, evolved and established itself as an ever growing identity here to serve the community. I am proud to call them an employer.

    Cons

It takes people of various attitudes to make a well managed organization work well and sometimes those people don't get along.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Great job!

I worked at Houston Food Bank as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

    Lots of nice people
    Upbeat mood
Make a difference in the world
    Good food
    Good work-break balance

    Cons

    Work is very repetitive
    Work can get boring

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep the work enjoyable. The more enjoyable the work is the more people will want to go. Also get people who volunteer to go and tell their friends.
