I have been working at Huntington National Bank

    Pros

Great place to work, on going training to keep you up to date on compliance. Good benefits.

    Cons

Managers not trained enough or followed up to make sure they are really working verses just running around on bank time. This could of been resolved easy before the Branch suffers more loss of good employees and clients.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay closer attention to the management you hire and ask co-workers about the managers before you promote or move bad managers to a new location. There has to be a way to weed out the bad that can hurt the bank. They may interview well, but you need to dig deeper.

I have been working at Huntington National Bank full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great company culture. Technology vastly improved. Competitive wages. Does not follow the other banks. Sets it self apart.

    Cons

Recently switched its healthcare to a high deductible plan. With the rising cost of healthcare it's a great added expense.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make the benefits to the traditional plans instead of the high deductible plans. Make a more attractive place to work

I have been working at Huntington National Bank

    Pros

Fun Staff, Make new friends, Human Resource Dept has been nothing but great to me!

    Cons

No pay increase, no promotions within, the work/life balance is not so great. They do not offer sick days along with vacation. The health benefits premiums just went up and they are not all that great either.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Coach along the way, show the ropes to newcomers. Promote within to keep employee retention and the in-store program should have shorter days or closed for the holidays. They do not generate much traffic or sales those days.
