    Good job good employess

    Voice Ops (Current Employee)
    Marion, IL

ProsGreat pay good benefits some paid holiday, no shortage of hours

ConsManagment is backwards not a whole lot of communication(example one manager tells you one thing another says something then the email they send the whole call center says something else).. They rolled out mastery progression in janurary and since have only trained a handful of ppl but yet still require everyone to meet standards that are not trained for.(For example they expect you to avg 48 to 50 percent of all calls you take, not realistic when every call counts. Now if you are gp trained your calls get backed out, not fair. There are firing good associates, even if your literally 1 percerent off your goals! Whata joke.

Advice to Senior ManagementTrain your associates and give them the tools they need to uphold your standards

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Like a family but its a corporation.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsYou build great relationships with others. And they offer a lot of opportunities if you like this type of industry.

ConsSometimes you do not get recognized for your hard work. Especially if you are there a long time you end up being forgotten. They don't care if you actually have a life outside of work. When they need you on holidays or big events, they expect you to be a team player.

Advice to Senior ManagementStop and look in the mirror did you forget where you were before you were a manager? Just because you have power over someone does not mean you should use it against them.

    No Balance

    Front Office Agent (Former Employee)

ProsGreat people work there and you always have fun with your coworkers. There is some autonomy and freedom on how you chose to handle certain customer situations.

ConsAwful scheduling. Managers are not considerate of work life balance. Very low pay for what you put up with.

Good pay and benefits. Management need some training.

    Housekeeping (Former Employee)
    Carlsbad, CA

ProsThey offer very good pay and benefits. The hours are consistent and they feed you when you are at work (very delicious food)

ConsIt's a very fast-paced work environtment where sometimes you end up paying for other people's mistakes and have to take it with a smile on your face. I particulary had horrible supervisors in the Aviara Resort in San Diego, CA.

Advice to Senior ManagementDon't give peple management positions if they don't show basic people skills.

Not bad, but it will take over you life

    Front Desk Supervisor (Former Employee)
    Lexington-Fayette, KY

ProsAll of the staff is friendly and seems to genuinely care about each other while at work. It is not a physically intensive job.

ConsScheduling is released weekly, so you never know when you will be required to show up. The HR department is not run well.

Great colleagues, hard to move up.

    Front Office Agent (Current Employee)

ProsI get along great with all my colleagues. I make a competitive wage.

ConsIt is very difficult to move up unless you are favored by management.

Advice to Senior ManagementReview all your candidates equally. And do not write up some employees but not others for the exact same violation.

    Guest Service Manager- Park Hyatt

    Guest Services Manager (Former Employee)
    San Francisco, CA

ProsGreat growth and transfer opportunities for management.

ConsSurprisingly, Hyatt has one of the most outdated and inefficient software/computer systems in the industry. The orientation and training for all employees is sub par compared to that of InterContinental and Four Seasons. Average hotel benefits. Worst of all, Hyatt had the least life-work balance for salary employees than any of the 5 major brands I have worked for. Very time demanding. HORRIBLE - I mean, the absolute worst employee provided "meals" I have ever encountered.

Advice to Senior ManagementModernize systems, incorporate more inspiring, useful training and ongoing education. Improve life/work balance for your managers.Value your employees and feed them better and offer better employee facilities. What a joke.
