    I worked at Hyatt

    Pros

Great benefits - 12 Free nights with other Hyatt properties within a year and discounted rates.
People - the managers were great to work with

    Cons

During my time there, we had transitioned three different managers due to some issues that arose within our property. These transitions sparked dissatisfaction among the employees causing many to quit.

Change of management turnover is high
bad work life balance, scheduling was inconsistent
long hours with not enough pay or appreciation

I have been working at Hyatt

    Pros

Great discounts for hotels and for friends and family

    Cons

Unless you get in to the CMT program, its near impossible to move up. Management only looks after themselves and won't put your best interest at heart.

I worked at Hyatt part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

money, short shift and thats about it

    Cons

Management treat on- call staff like we are nothing. Working with temp staff is torture, they never do anything and rarely speak english

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

just because we are "no call" doesnt mean we are low lifes and cant get a full time job,. This is in addition to my full time job

I have been working at Hyatt

    Pros

Great team of co-workers. Worldwide company with lots of opportunity to transfer to different locations. Wonderful perks like free hotel nights and discount on food/beverage at hotels.

    Cons

Not many opportunities to advance your career unless your willing to transfer to different locations. Large separation between managers and hotel staff. Not team environment.

I worked at Hyatt full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The Hyatt Place Brand is a quality brand

    Cons

The long term strategy for Hyatt Place is to not manage properties and have 100% franchise. Not many people were promoted from the field to corporate positions - I only remember two people being promoted - one of which was fired during a leadership transition. Current person in charge of Hyatt Limited service came from a small company - this was his first role in a large company - he seemed to not have as much input as previous leadership.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When I was there, much of the senior management had zero limited service experience.

I have been working at Hyatt

    Pros

after one year of service you are granted comp nights world wide. makes traveling a lot cheaper

    Cons

only allowed to stay at each hotel/resort 3 night free per year, if you stay more you can pay an associate rate that isnt all that great but it is something
only allowed 12 comp nights per year

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

should be unlimited comp nights, if you are working full time anyways you only have your limited vacation time. I easily use my 12 every year
