    Pros

Smart, interesting people to work with. Interesting clients and projects. Great environment to both have an impact on your clients' businesses and learn a great deal. IBM has a tremendous amount of intellectual capital that you can leverage in your consulting work for them.

    Cons

Consulting scale model relies on long hours and diligence of consultants (as does almost every consulting company). This can lead to burn-out -- but they have been working to improve this.

    Pros

Great place to work if you get matched up with the right management.
Competitive salary--not top of the market by any means, but the benefits package is great.

    Cons

Too many managers lack any management or leadership qualities. They may great consultants, engineers, or accountants, but that doesn't mean they'l make even adequate managers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Invest more within the company.

    Pros

Loved working from home. Managers were excellent in terms of dealing with direct reports. Good work-life balance.

    Cons

No corporate loyalty towards employees any more. Only focus of HQ is to improve EPS, any way at any cost. In the long-run, this will kill an American icon.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Quit sending American jobs to Brazil and India.
