    ICAP is a dying industry.

Summer Analyst (Current Employee) Jersey City, NJ

ProsSome great people there, learned a lot. Lots of action, never a boring moment, good culture. Pretty much a frat house, and there's always leftover free food in the kitchen.

ConsIndustry is dying and there is little room for growing with the company since it's basically going nowhere. Everything is going electronic.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe management needs to learn how to deal with interns. Rather than sticking them on a desk and expecting them to pretend they love everything about everything, they should give them tasks to do and maybe some direction.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Overall a good experience

Intern (Former Employee) Jersey City, NJ

ProsLaid back work environment, nice people. the work environment is no aggressive or uptight like at some firms like goldman sachs, the management is not too rigid or strict, they have the right balance of strictness and cool. It is small enough not for one to be just another number and big enough to be able to move ahead and have the right growth opportunities. People that come from other companies usually stay longer than they do at other companies. The work environment is friendly, laid back, and dedicated to growth.

Consmanagement is too lax on some employees, too harsh on others

Advice to Senior Managementhire more interns

Full of opportunities, energetic environment and supportive management

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsGreat opportunities and provide room for development, work with scheduled timelines, decent compensation and benefits, fun and enjoyable working environment

ConsLack of integration with global management and processes, flat hierarchy thus, do not expect much of promotion in title but incentives in bonuses and pay increment

Advice to Senior ManagementProvide more feedback to employees and performance metrics to hit in order to achieve corporate goals

Great time, not long term career path!

Summer Intern (Former Employee) London, England (UK)

ProsGreat time, lots of going out and make great friendships. Also excellent culture of feedback. Huge bonuses very quickly. If you wont to work in a bank, you get good exposure and contacts

ConsYou are working alongside many who don't even have a degree which would suggest it is not very technical. Also don't think it is easy to move elsewhere for career. No long term career security

    Great place to work

Customer Support (Current Employee) London, England (UK)

ProsThis is a good place to work in, if you are willing to work with the way things work there.

ConsUsual problems that most companies have. Lack of communication. Useless middle tier managers. Lack of focus in some of the projects.

    Advice to Senior ManagementReward loyalty
