    Pros

They offer a decent comp plan and have a well respected albeit very commoditized product. They offer their customer decent training.

    Cons

Gives ZERO support, guidance and has no loyalty to their staff. You have a very short amount of time to "sink or swim" all on your own

    Advice to Management

Be more approachable, have actual systems in place, change the culture, help employees flourish

  2. Some great people, very poorly managed

I worked at ICU Medical full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The pay is good. They have some great employees. They started a yearly bonus program. I can't think of anything else.

    Cons

First thing, very very unqualified poor management. HR doesn't do much for employees. They do not employ enough people for the tasks. Bad planning, no differential for grave yard. Empty promises, no room to advance with current Management and HR.

    Advice to Management

    Change management

  3. Some unqualified managers need to have a lot of leadership training, management training and people skills.

More leadership trainings is needed for newly promoted managers.

    Pros

There are plenty of opportunities for process improvements, the fruit that remains is still pretty low.

    Cons

Advancement will be a challenge during your employment with ICU - great place to get started but not a home for career driven individuals. Corporate management continually fails to make the jump from a small startup mentality to mid-sized global company. There is a "them vs. us" mentality that is perpetuated by chronic mistrust and secrecy.

    Advice to Management

Take advantage of the talents you hired, some of the decisions would benefit from a discussion with the folks who will clean up the aftermath.

    Pros

Good compensation, good benefits, technical challenges galore

    Cons

Lame mgmt, poor processes, severe backbiting by peers

    Advice to Management

Sycophants do not make good employees

I worked at ICU Medical full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people I worked with in the department.

    Cons

Incompitent dishonest supervision in tool dept.

    Advice to Management

If you are going to put someone with only working experience in charge. Send them to school to learn how to treat people and be honest.
