    Pros

No traffic, twelve holidays during the year

    Cons

Communication, initiative and learning is discouraged. Robots are expected. No parental leave for employees. No environmental concern. Disregard for women. Old macho boys club. Management by perception, not by facts. Nepotism. Secretiveness.

    Advice to Management

Take a course on leadership and contemporary methods of management.

    Pros

Company is highly profitable. selling fiber lasers.

    Cons

Dysfunctional management style, fragmented departments operate in a vacuum. At worst, significant decisions are made by managers, or other key individuals, who do not posses the required knowledge other than what is necessary for promoting their own self interests. Lack of organizational structure and inability to follow basic business processes negatively impacts culture, operations and new product development.

    Advice to Management

Human Resources is a department that loosely follows basic HR processes and controls. IPG does not have a formal review process and does not provide management training. In order to attract and retain highly qualified employees, who are not Russian, major changes within your organization need to occur.

    Pros

If you are talented at back stabbing and glory hounding, you should work at IPG.These qualities are thriving there. They make laser weapons, how inspiring.

    Cons

When the Russian based company IPG did not fire but put respected American Managers in dead end jobs, the tone was set, soon all building managers told to learn Russian language to keep their jobs. Started hiring Russians that were related to or friends of other Russians already there. As this continued, the quality of life, the quality of work all went down hill for everyone.
Trying to make a decent wage is impossible also. They will offer you much less than you were previously making. An interview is probably the biggest mistake, just walk out and work at any other job and be much happier anywhere else!

    Advice to Management

Clear out your HR department, start new. Hire some Americans to run other Americans also, stop with all the favors and weird Immigration laws that somehow do not apply to your foreign workers. (They bring Russians over and claim nobody in the world can do that job)

    Pros

Benefits are decent, good company outlook

    Cons

Not a team environment, very hierarchical, lack the ability to move up within (open positions not posted) the only way to move up is to speak Russian or be brought in my one, status is more important than a job well done, they belittle people especially those who are not executives and this is acceptable, you are treated like a robot and not a human, HR is a joke and not people oriented at all

    Advice to Management

Build a team and people will want to be there. Even the lowest paid person is doing something valuable for your company so treat them as so!

    Pros

Plenty of mandatory overtime enforced. Orange walls and yellow floors keep the employees happy.

    Cons

Required to work 60+ hours per week. Upper management lacks foresight and plans poorly leaving the workers to make up their slack. Poor bonuses. Never have had a review so I don't know how I am doing. Critical information is seldom shared even when it directly relates to your own job. Never gives raises in salary.

    Advice to Management

If you know you are going to be producing a lot of product. Hire, train and then produce, don't threaten, force employees to make up for your mistakes in planning.
