    Pros

It seems that the best reason to work there would be for the benefits

    Cons

Calling perspective students might be challenging

I worked at ITT Educational Services full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I found most of the people to be fairly nice, easy to get along with. Marketing manager was the hail-fellow-well-met type who INSISTED that I drop everything to test a prospective student right NOW.

    Cons

See above about the marketing manager for the particular campus I used to work at. I understand that he was promoted after I left. I rarely got a full lunch break because the head admin asst just "happened" to take HER lunch when it was her time to test students.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please. Listen to ALL of your employees, and not just the management "team". Insist that EVERYONE help to test prospective students. Allow dept secretaries to develop their own method of getting everything done; it really works nicely.

I have been working at ITT Educational Services full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Every campus is different, but in my experience, there are people at each campus who care and are willing to do their best to help students. Those are the people I stuck around for. We have had a lot of success stories. You really can help people to make a difference in their lives here.

    Cons

Corporate HQ is constantly cutting down. 'Cost-saving practices' are getting introduced all the time. These are often to the detriment of the students and employees. Mandatory online classes are becoming common. In a school with advertises 'hand-on experience' many people are disappointed with what ITT is becoming. Benefits are okay at best.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

ITT is a school which should strive to provides a quality education that provides hands-on job training. However, it is quickly becoming a clone of all the other for-profit colleges in the country. Online classes are fine for those who want them, but forcing students who prefer in-house training to take them is a waste of their time and money. Considering the tuition fees, I do not feel that the students are getting the education they are paying for with these new policies.

    Pros

Offered a full time position.....but too little pay since it required 40 hours ON CAMPUS of time. Sad with a Masters Degree what they pay.......................seemed like very nice people, but with a MSN you could simply do SO much more.

    Cons

Too little pay for the amount of hours.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Compensate for the degree.....or require less time per week on campus.

I have been working at ITT Educational Services

    Pros

Good pay offered. They provide adequate training. They sincerely care about the students success. Most of the students are surprised at the difficulty of the courses.

    Cons

ITT employs viral internet marketing in it's advertising campaign. This results in numerous bogus leads for the reps. to follow up on. There is an expectation to call a lead 3 times a day until contact is made. It made me feel like a "stalker'.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Quit using 'pop up" ads in your internet marketing. It only leads to bogus leads and a poor image with the public.

I have been working at ITT Educational Services

    Pros

Good place for a person to stop their career aspirations, and then focus on family or other things of life. Great health benefits. Good recognition of family and life style balance. Seldom are long hours required. Decent 401k program - 3% match on 6% contributions, 3yr cliff, meaning fully vested after just 3 yrs.

    Cons

No bonuses and no effort toward process improvement. The company business strategy is about 6 or 7 years old. It is in need of a serious re-tooling. There are serious questions about how much further the current strategy can continue. There is no mention of new components of growth. Dress code is old school and flex-time is still a foreign concept.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop the bleeding - create some opportunities for people to progress and advance at HQ
