Pros – I enjoy passing my knowledge to the next generation; the twinkle in their eye when the finally 'get it' is priceless.

Cons – I made $15.375/hour. I could only work 24 hours per week. They paid no extra for tutoring students with special needs (blind, deaf, speech, ls, etc.)

Advice to Senior Management – you do a reasonable job with the curricula. Some textbooks are horrible. Sit in class and talk to the students.

Pros – The people who work at ITT Technical are all very professional and educated. They care a great deal for the student population. The curriculum is well developed making it easy for full time and adjunct faculty.

Cons – The full time instructors sometimes work multiple half days depending on the work schedule. Sometimes management can be somewhat understanding of issues going on with students non-attendance.

Advice to Senior Management – Work on communicating with the faculty and being more proactive. Instrucotrs are not always to blame for students not attending classes.

Pros – ITT Tech is a very conservative organization that is unwilling to jump on the newest craze when a proven route to learning exists. The first and foremost consideration is to make sure that students have access to whatever they need to learn and make wise career decisions. Only employees with this same vision are employed by ITT Tech and it becomes a big family.

Cons – An organization as large as ITT Tech sometimes needs to make changes and, regardless of how small those changes might be, they take time. Students sometimes think we drag our feet adopting new technology when, honestly, we have already explored the possibility and know that the higher-tech solution might not be worth it.

Advice to Senior Management – Slow and steady wins the race. Do not be enticed by current flashes in the pan; they never work out.

Cons – Needs to have more progression within the organzation. Should have a different way to conduct scheduling and finally should have better 401K plan
