    Negative Outlook

I worked at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

In the NHS, with relative job security that comes with working in the public service. Though this comes at a price.

    Cons

Very badly organised. Poor staff support. Often short-staffed which places extra stresses on those who stay and turn up for work.

    Advice to Management

Good management is sorely needed. Staffing levels need to improved.

  2. NHS registrar review to the NHS

    Pros

stable job, 30 days holiday a year

    Cons

    long hours, on call shift

  3. Helpful (1)

The medical staff do a great job (like most NHS medics do), it's just the administration problem.

    Pros

From admin perspective: Generally good work/life balance. Good holiday. Management respect employees. Job security.

    Cons

From admin perspective: Typical NHS gravy train. Management respect employees too much. Lack of organisational direction/communication. No decent promotional/training/advancement prospects. Probably more challenging/exciting if you're medical staff.

    Advice to Management

Get the administration of the Trust sorted (e.g. better leadership/management, communication, organisational direction, efficiency, professionalism).
