I have been working at Imperva full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Management gives clear direction, and supports you on your career path.

    Cons

There isnt anything that stands out in my mind as a major problem. There are little things here and there that could be made better, but all companies have there little issues.

I have been working at Imperva full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Great and supportive environment. You work with people who are concerned about you as an employee and as their friend. The IT team is top notch. Lots of experience and very innovative in dealing with a wide variety of issues 24/7.

    Cons

There did seem to be some disconnect with a lot of the managers, but a very forward-thinking and energized CEO is helping everyone get back into the groove and most employees feel extremely positive about the foreseeable future of the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stick with what is working. Push for a strong and positively motivated sales team. Market that which pays the bills, but don't be afraid to change the game every now and again. Keep that small company feel, even as the company sees a growth spurt.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep doing what you're doing, but foster better relations between sales and other groups in the company

I have been working at Imperva full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Innovative technology, good people and managers. Possible to get promoted and explore new areas of career path.

    Cons

Not a generous company in terms of compensation and benefits, sometimes getting things done in personal terms taking time and requiring patience.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more generous in terms of benefits and compensation, allow faster promotions for oldcomers.

I have been working at Imperva full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    - Great market position - world leader in more than one domain
    - Super nice people
    - Strong social life

    Cons

    - Too much in the now, not enough vision and roadmap

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Tell people where you want to go and let them take you there- you don't need to be in the details for things to work
    - Listen more to people's opinions and perspectives - there's a chance they know about the problem, and maybe even the solution, than you do

Good company, generally nice people, but a lot of politics involved in decision making.

Former Employee - Senior Software Engineer in Tel Aviv (Israel)

I worked at Imperva full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The work is generally interesting, the company is stable, the HR department insists on bringing in only nice people, there are several corporate fun activities per year.

    Cons

The technologies used in R&D tend to be somewhat outdated. It is very hard to get a promotion, sometimes the management prefers to bring in new managers from outside rather than promote people from inside. There is a poor discussion culture, people tend to pay attention to the most assertive and loud speaker and ignore speakers who refuse to force their opinion in. Some people benefited from the IPO, but other than that there are no bonuses for hard working employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay more attention to rewarding hard working employees, promote more people from inside. Pay more attention to the culture of discussion.
