Singapore (Singapore)

Former Employee – worked at Infineon Technologies full-time for more than 7 years

ProsGood company culture, working times and social life. Good worklife balance.

ConsDecisions are very often headquarter driven, the freedom of the developments for local markets is limited. Opportunities may be overseen.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Current Employee – been working at Infineon Technologies full-time for more than a year

ProsFriendly environtment, a lot of traininngs, your job add value, you and your job are respected

ConsVillach is a remote location, small city, good for sports, but otherwise very boring

Current Employee – been working at Infineon Technologies

ProsGood salary, financially best positioned company in semiconductor, active in all key drivers of today's economy, excellent colleagues, fantastic campus

ConsHave to understand and develop a passion for semiconductors, among only three European semiconductor companies - so a silicon-valley style atmosphere not available; this also means that switching jobs is less fluid and tends to remain within the electronics industry

Advice to Senior ManagementYou're doing a good job. Continue to listen to your employees, but don't be concerned to also lead them into areas they may not have contemplated or into areas where they've spent too much time analyzing away without focusing on how to influence

Neubiberg (Germany)

Current Employee – been working at Infineon Technologies

ProsI have been welcomed back after my maternity leave and was given greatest freedom in organizing work and kids. I have also been offered very interesting challenges which were not hindered by my part-time work.

ConsWe have a very volatile history and it needs time to adapt to this new set-up where we finally seem to be doing well financially. But we are on a good track.

Current Employee – been working at Infineon Technologies

ProsInfineon has talented people with down to earth attitudes. Everyone in the company is approachable, especially senior management. The company has a strong team ethic, devoted to high quality and innovation. It is surprising how supportive and respectful they are. Their style is partnering not parenting.

The company is financially secure and virtually debt free. Their salary structure appears to be competitive. The best perk is the paid bonus/ incentive plan which is based on company performance. It has been paid out at over 100% for the last 10 years. This is unusal.

They work at attracting and fostering talent. Employees stay a long time. Many employees are in the 10 -15 year range.

ConsMore access to training from mid management and below

Advice to Senior ManagementTraining initiatives should be for everyone, not just for the senior management team

Singapore (Singapore)

Former Employee – worked at Infineon Technologies

Prosgood respect towards employees. Willing to send engineers for overseas exposure. no micro management. if at kallang sector, the work enivronment is good. above average benefit. relax atmosphere.

in germany, benefits and management even better.

Consstill very german centric, knowledge+knowhow still concentrate in germany. management in germany still trust german engineers than singapore hence difficult to gain visibility.

many engineering methodologies used are not well known industrially hence know-how learnt may not be transferable if u leave infineon. if in singapore, semiconductor equipment for FA limited. it is more of a design centre. good ic design and test engineers. product/FA engineering not so much scope, product engineers seemed isolated from fab processes which should not be the case.

Advice to Senior Managementinvest in more product engineering and linking analysis to fab process crucial to profitability and improving know how of engineers

Warstein (Germany)

Former Employee – worked at Infineon Technologies

ProsAn excellent opportunity to advance my intellectual apparatus.
Infineon gave me a chance to learn 200% more than what I actually knew.

ConsI would say that this organisation has not a single downfall, except for the fact that there is not much interaction between one another.

Advice to Senior ManagementMy personal advice is that the management goes with hiring few people. If at all the rate and ratio of employees increase, the company can shoot out to the sky
