I worked at Infoblox full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

There are some really nice people who work there, 75% of them are unhappy and are simply afraid to do anything about it. They just complain to co-workers and stay.

    Cons

Horribly miserable, uncaring, very wealthy, self-righteous upper management with old skool mentality that care only about themselves.

Favoritism rules regarding hiring, promotion and raises. Very unfair practices in HR.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

"Do unto others..."...well you all should know the rest of that line, and here's another good one..."What goes around..." yea...you all should know that one too.

I have been working at Infoblox

    Pros

    Good product
The employers are easy to work with and don't mind to work overtime, overnight or even over the weekend to achieve the goal.

    Cons

-The VPs expects 60+ working hours per week.
-Pay is 15-20% below market price.
-Very political at the engineering-management level.
-Wasting $$$ on luxious parties or giveaways instead of giving people a reasonable raise.
The above said all were for full time employees.....

Coming to job offers for students it is worst company that ever seen as start up.
-The $$$ wasted for parties can be used for sponsoring H1 to hard worked which will be good for company.
-Till date the number of students worked/working (Engg) for Infoblox are 7 but only got 1 H1
-Point to be noted: Also there are 3 more interns which have worked for Engineering only under 1 manager which were relatives of the biggies(EVP and VP of Engg.) Poor manager no option to raise voice nothing but to accept

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Company's success not only include the product sale, but also includes the H1's done by the company. Sincere suggest is to do few H1's before going to public which is good for company growth

    I worked at Infoblox

    Pros

    - good product,
    - long time with the company engineers are experienced.

    Cons

    - very un-cooperative egineers,
    - interesting/creative work is done by the engineers that are with company for long time, unwilling to share the details or give a chance to the newcomers to contribute substantially.
    - very political at the engineering-management level.
    - when critical issues arise, the urgency (to remediate) upon those responsible is uncoordinated.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think you know well what is going on for so many ears now, for that reason I'll pass.

    Pros

Smart colleagues who are passionate about building great software.

    Cons

Managers treat you like dirt and drive you like slaves. Pay is very low (20-30% lower than average) compared to rest of Bay Area but they say they compensate by offering more options (which may be worthless) and a bonus (which may be 0). There is no work-life balance - the VP expects you to put in 60+ hours a week. You are not given a chance to do a good job - as you are constantly switched between projects but are expected to have zero context switch downtime. You are forced to commit to artificial schedules that are contrary to your gut feeling, and, backed into a corner if you disagree. When the project goes over schedule (as you knew it would), you are forced to stay at work until it's done, to keep to the schedule (yeah, you don't get to go home until it's done!).

Ever hear of Labor laws, Infoblox? You've been violating labor laws for years now!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When you treat your employees like dirt, expect to them to produce dirt instead of a product.
