Constant change, no consistency in vision, concerning future overall

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
    Tempe, AZ

ProsSpecific roles have work from home options.

They are big on easy wins such as recurring 'take your dog to work day' and 'wear your favorite sports jersey' which helps build morale & enthusiasm for some who care about pets or sports.

ConsCompany vision and path is consistently changing, yet they never give anything enough time to work/not work. It's similar to test driving a car, only with a public company. The change results in confusion, no career opportunities (lots of promise, nothing ever on paper), inconsistent salary (especially in commission based roles), and a very strong lack of morale.

Mid level management has the ability to make/break your role and upper management fully allows this. So depending on your team, you may encounter great flexibility and trust or be micro managed.

Benefits continue to become worse. They focus on things such as a health center within your office yet medical coverage is poor and has been a deciding factor in some employees leaving the company.

Work/life balance is non-existent. You are expected to work nights/weekends on a regular basis. Everyone wants to be a team player and step up when needed, but when this becomes the expectation from management you quickly burn out. Also, you aren't ever recognized or rewarded for these efforts and are forced to prioritize yourself, often at the cost of your reputation.

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease focus on the people. Don't just talk, but actually follow through and listen. Yes, we all realize numbers are extremely important but without good people you don't stand a chance at making them. Don't treat people as cogs in a wheel, because they will go elsewhere with a sour taste in their mouth & do well with a competitor. This creates a downward spiral in a business where word of mouth is key.

    No room for advancement

    Systems Engineer (Current Employee)
    Tampa, FL

ProsI was stationed at a client site in the Tampa FL area 5 days a week. My boss who was not a technical guy what so ever never came around

ConsThere was no room for advancement and everything that upper management ever promised me such as raises and paying for certifications never happened. My job as a systems engineer was sort of a dead end job.

    Not for everyone

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
    Tempe, AZ

Pros- The project team I worked with was great, hard working, caring, team-oriented.
    - The project team had three SAP go-lives and three migrations in a year; this no small feat, but I do not think anyone at a senior level understands this

Cons- Management behavior is bullying, micro-management, out of touch with people
    - Systems/processes are out-moded
    - Lack of integration of functions - never integrated from 5 acquistions
    - Struggles with identity
    - Cannot clearly articulate value proposition
    - Makes most of its money by jacking up freight costs
    - HR is old school and outmoded
    - Benefits are average - emphasis is purely on cost containment
    - Too top heavy
    - Exec salaries are paid at ranges that a much larger company in terms of revenue, margin and employee base would pay

Advice to Senior Management- Start over!
    - Sell the company!

Insight is a good for a job but such a lack of discipline from a sales company.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
    Bloomingdale, IL

ProsInsight is good where it is very large and easy to learn new things. Management is a little bit flexible when you need personal issues as well. Not a bad place for a JOB.

ConsThere is such a lack of discipline from sales reps who do not care very much. There are a lot of people as well who seem to be on "cruise control" as well where they don't make the extra effort. A lot of people are more concerned about covering their own *ss. There doesn't seem to be very much unity and being in one of the larger offices that's not HQ, it seems like there is no "love" in the different offices unless you are in HQ.

Advice to Senior ManagementHave management who are more competent and respond better. There are some managers who aren't even in the office who are barely working. By having more accountability and encouragement from the managers, I feel like employees would be more happy. Have managers work with team mates more to self promote and move forward and promote their careers instead of having that feeling of being stuck with no where to go.
