I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

There are so many opportunities if you are interested in career growth, especially with the company being worldwide and having many divisions. Intel is in every industry it seems. There is so much potential for innovation.

    Cons

A lot of bureaucracy. If you want to get anything done, you need to know the right people that aren't afraid to make a decision. Too my CYA inside, rather than all standing together for the same cause and move forward. Because there's been layoffs in the news, its created more fear in the system, causing people to be more defensive of what they are doing - this causes overlap and unncessary tension between organizations.

    Advice to Management

Focus on the ethics within the company and how management has a very strong effect with employee behavior and work ethic. Hold people accountable for their actions (or lack thereof) and reward people for their accomplishments (not tell them they were supposed to do that b/c it's part of their job). Motivation is done when people are inspired not fearful of keeping their jobs.

I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Lots of scope for different roles across many business units, bountiful training opportunities, decent pay, good benefits, great place to work events, flexible schedule, work/life balance and surrounded by smart people with passion and work ethic.

    Cons

A bad manager can wreck your career irrespective of skill set or accomplishments. Focal process rewards those who embellish their achievements or who can market their brand. Never stay in the same position for more than 2 years.

    Advice to Management

Revise focal process to include stakeholder feedback and lessen impact of a poor manager.

I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Average base compensation and with benefits they are slightly above market average

    Cons

Annual increases are slow. At that rate, one can easily fall behind market pay rate and decide to pursue other opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Consider increases per salaries paid in the market for equivalent job responsibilities.

I have been working at Intel Corporation as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

    1. Coworkers were all friendly and patient as I got used to the job. 2. Access to gym and any labs needed for work. 3. From what I've seen, great management and advancement structure.

    Cons

    1. Cubicles. Company has been working to make this better by making lower cubicle walls, but just serves to make it less private. Cubicles wouldn't be so bad if there were options.

    Advice to Management

Improve the working environment by adding areas for collaborative or solo work outside of the cubicle, while maintaining the option of using a cubicle for private work. Basically, make the workplace seem more open.
