I worked at InterContinental Hotels full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Travel discounts, education benefits, easy work, complete training, Corporate events that were worth attending, very charitable organization, easily accessible, relaxation spaces for employees.

    Cons

Constantly changing metrics stopped rewarding the top sellers. The employee discounts were rarely available, and certain hotels were essentially exempt from offering this rate (despite violating corporate policies).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep track of brand standards when running promotions. Don't put all the sales pressure on phone agents, when it is marketing's job to properly describe the special events in the first place.

I worked at InterContinental Hotels full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

It is truly a global company both in geographic and cultural coverage. Myriad of possibilities to growth.

    Cons

Sometimes its very big size makes decision process a little bit slow. It is not a regular and general tendency; yet it happens sometimes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up providing stimuli to people remain in the company as well as to people return to the company

I have been working at InterContinental Hotels full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Culture and stability are the biggest wins for the current employees

    Cons

All we need is a pension plan. However, of 401k for all corporate and hotel employees is ground breaking.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep up the good work!

I worked at InterContinental Hotels full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The hotel discount was my favorite part of this company. I had an opportunity to work at a higher level and take on greater responsibility. They seem to be in need of experienced people.

    Cons

Certain brands seem to be well put together and certain brands seem lost at times.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide more training to upper management. Most managers I worked with didn't know the basics of working with people, and only knew the basics about running a hotel
