Senior Software Engineer (Current Employee) Mountain View, CA

Pros- Good work-life balance. If you come from a start up to Intuit you will be incredibly relaxed
    - There are smart people at intuit. As with any big company you need to hunt to find them but there are some excellent people to work with
    - Culture is good. People are generally really nice and open to helping each other out
    - Intuit monopolizes it's market. yay

    Cons- Personal growth is slow
    - There is "title inflation" ie a senior engineer may or may not actually be senior

Advice to Senior ManagementPay is on par with other tech companies. pay MORE to entice the best in the bay.

ConsDepending on where you sit in the company sometimes the org changes have a big impact
They seem to purchase innovation rather than create it

    Great experience

MBA Intern (Current Employee) Mountain View, CA

ProsGreat compensation - comparable to other Silicon Valley titans. Company is becoming leaner and much more focused on developing younger talent. Work-life balance is some of the best you can find in tech. Very focused on hypothesis-based testing and experimentation.

ConsLots of meetings and powerpoint. Senior leadership is aware of the bureaucracy of a bigger company though they can do more to make organizations more nimble.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep up the good work of focusing on your employees and recruiting young talent.

Overall, a wonderful experience with a company that really cares about developing it's people

Compensation Business Partner (Former Employee) Mountain View, CA

ProsWithout question, Brad Smith is a terrific leader at a company that has developed a lot of talented managers. The pay and benefits are very good, as is the work-life balance.

ConsThe politics can be frustrating and hard to overcome. That being said, I'm grateful for having had the opportunity to grow up, learn and meet so many great people at Intuit.

    Great company to work at

Software Engineering Intern (Current Employee) San Diego, CA

ProsThe people are easy to get along with and are extremely helpful. You also get to dedicate 10% of your working time to a personal project that you are passionate about. Intuit also promotes employees to volunteer billable hours towards a charity/cause of your choice.

ConsIt is a larger company so it can be difficult to "find your place" at first. You will need to do your part to stand out.

Even after being affected by a massive layoff, I would come back in a heartbeat!

Customer Service and Support Specialist (Current Employee) Fredericksburg, TX

ProsIntuit treats their employees like GOLD. I have worked in many places, but all fall short of the excellent benefits, incentives, ability to move up and around and how they make you feel as a person. I will ALWAYS cherish my Intuit family

ConsYou must be okay with change. I wouldnt consider it as a CON, but it may take some time to get used to the "fly by the seat of your pants" type of atmosphere

Advice to Senior ManagementAlways care about how approachable you are.

    Awesome place to work!

Senior Software QA (Current Employee) San Diego, CA

ProsHighly collaborative environment where you work with smart and talented people as part of small cross-functional teams using iterative design and rapid experimentation. High emphasis on lean startup techniques and agile development. Leadership encourages and provides opprtunites for training and career development. Lots of perks, i enjoy too much the work i do that i don't even take advantage of the basketball and volleyball courts, Gym, on site cafeteria, great work life balance...

ConsFrequent organization changes, but unfortunately this is needed to stay competitive and no free lunch.

Advice to Senior ManagementEncourage your employees to succeed and make time for training and career development. Work with employees on expectations about their career path and what it takes for promotion.
