Solid company w/ nice benefits, but was a better company to work for in the past

Operations Representative (Current Employee) Houston, TX

ProsIn the Operations department, there are options to work from home a few days a wee and have a flexible schedule. You also get 3 weeks of vacation in your first year.

ConsThe office location can be a pain to get to no matter where you are coming from in the morning. Some of the management lack people skills, so when they are talking to the group, or individually, you have to have a thick skin.

Overall, great company to work for.

Desktop Services Analyst (Current Employee) Houston, TX

ProsAside from being one of the leading investment companies in the world, Invesco is striving towards staying on the cutting edge of technology.

ConsMy personal experience has been that talent isn't truly recognized and skill sets aren't fully utilized.

Advice to Senior ManagementIf you want more loyal employees, reward them for their hard effort and dedication accordingly. Too many empty promises or wishful hopes lower moral and loyalty.

Fortune 500 companies to get on your resume

Fund Accountant (Current Employee) Houston, TX

    Pros- Provide free parking
    - Good amount of vacation/sick/personal days

Cons-You are required to work 37.5 hours week to be full time but the workload is so much that you have to go overtime and managers don't like to give any overtime. This means you work extra hours but can not put in all those hours. The way of dividing work at each level is very unfair.
    - HR is unfriendly and doesn't even help you with HR related questions

Advice to Senior ManagementThey expect the new hire to have CPA license but doesn't compensate for it. Management doesn't have CPA and how can you expect lower level to have CPA?!!

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
